We were pleasantly surprised to find out that West Coast Surf & Stay is family owned and operated. From the moment we inquired about an early check-in, we were greeted with the best hospitality So Cal has to offer. Great location with many food and shopping options within walking distance. My husband and I were very happy with our stay and will be back.

Loved our stay at West Coast. Dave was amazing and so welcoming/communicative. Our place was so clean and we only stayed 1 night but wish we had longer. Room had a very nice kitchen and living room. Bedroom was very spacious. Very retro feeling, quaint and had nice touches. We'll be back! The hotel is Just down the road from Main Street in San Clemente which has so many great places to eat and shop. It is a family owned hotel which we loved since it's nice to support local run business.

The owners and managers went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Close to excellent cafes and diners. Close to the beach. Close to I-5. Quiet, friendly place.

A fantastic place to stay! The owners Dave and Ann Marie have worked diligently to create a unique space with and incredibly friendly vibe. Their attention to detail is evident throughout the property. From the outset they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Their motto of catering to surfers and nice people sets the tone and you will feel right at home. The location is fantastic, near everything San Clemente has to offer, and they’ll even set you up with a day of surfing if you wish. Do yourself a favor, especially if you like to surf, or want to try, and be with good people, spend some time at the West Coast Surf and Stay, you’ll be glad you did.

This small family owned place was very family oriented and accommodating.

If you’re just swinging through town, or staying for the surf, this place was perfect. The owner was welcoming, Dave, and he was always checking on us to make sure we were loving our stay. Also, ask about the coffee he has in the room, a great story of why they serve it.

West Coast Surf and Stay is our favorite place we’ve ever stayed! It feels just like home, or hanging out with your very best friends on an epic surf trip! We stayed there to celebrate our son’s surfing National Championship win on July 4th, and it was a memory we’ll always remember! We were welcomed from Dave and AnnMarie with the nicest welcoming text that our room was ready way early in the morning, which helped so much! Then we were greeted like they’d known us forever. Truly, the coolest sweetest nicest family! They’ve worked so hard to make the rooms and your stay feel cozy and welcoming, and they have gone above and beyond. We loved how our room had so much space for all our board bags and gear. We loved the board rack, full fridge, comfy couch, we all had the best slumber party in the bunk bed room! It was so fun to all cozy up on the couch to a great movie on the smart tv, after a fun day surfing Tressels and fireworks at the pier. Truly, it felt like home. We can’t thank Dave and AnnMarie enough and can’t wait to stay again soon! We highly recommend staying there and be sure and bring all your family & friends. It has the vibes of your favorite family surf trip. It’s amazing!
