A beautiful, historic hotel in the center of downtown. Everything was good but could have been amazing if not for a couple of things. 1) in the hallway on our floor there seemed to be a slight odor of sewage. It wasn’t horrible but it was noticeable. 2) there was a false fire alarm that went off several times during our 1 night’s stay. We had to wake up and get dressed and were instructed to evacuate (this part was not a problem), then after several minutes heard over an intercom that it was not a problem and that we could return to our rooms. This routine happened several times during the night so needless to say it was not a great night sleep.
Not trying to be overly critical because things happen and I wouldn’t want anyone to avoid this hotel because of our bad luck. Like I said the place is beautiful, the staff is great and the restaurant is very good.
