Another great stay at the fives….

Very nice hotel in fantastic location. I was not clear about what to expect regarding when housekeeping would servicing my room.

The hotel is dated. We have a leakage under the toilet. It was reported but never fixed. The room had a stained sofa. Not to mention the hotel was closed by the Mexican authorities. Signs of Clausurado were all over. Although the staff did their best under the circumstances. This is not a 4 start hotel

Staff and service was amazing. Room was clean and bed was super comfortable. I would stay here again!!

We stayed at the Fives Downtown last week and could not have been more pleased or treated better. From our beautiful and spacious two-bedroom suite to the stunning views from the rooftop infinity pool, to the warm service we received from the staff — we loved it all. As a family of five (husband and I and three kids) travelling to Mexico for the first time, we were anxious about whether or not the accommodations and location would suit our family, but they did. The hotel walkability is perfect walkable distance to many attractions and kid-friendly restaurants. Easy and walkable access to the ferry, the ADO Bus and taxis. Cleaning service for our rooms was superb, and Ernesto, the GM/director of operations made sure we had everything we needed, gave us recommendations on activities for the kids, and even helped us locate one of our kid’s missing backpacks that we accidentally left in a cab. He even gave our kiddos some food pellets to feed the turtles in the hotel lobby. Nice touch! We also want to thank Nicole, Adrian and Israel, who warmly greeted and waited on our family each morning for breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Mercatto). We honestly could not have asked for a better stay in Playa Del Carmen. Would highly recommend!!!

Recentemente me hospedei neste hotel e, embora a localização seja excelente—próxima a praias deslumbrantes e paisagens incríveis—fiquei surpreso com um grande inconveniente: o hotel não fornece toalhas de praia para os hóspedes. Considerando que se trata de um destino praiano, seria razoável esperar que esse item básico estivesse disponível. O hotel em si é confortável, os quartos são bem cuidados e grande parte da equipe é atenciosa. No entanto, quando questionei sobre a ausência de toalhas de praia, o atendente respondeu com ironia, como se minha pergunta fosse absurda. Em vez de simplesmente explicar a política do hotel, ele preferiu um tom debochado, o que tornou a experiência ainda mais frustrante. Ter que comprar ou levar minha própria toalha foi um transtorno desnecessário. É um detalhe pequeno, mas que faria uma grande diferença na estadia. Se você pretende se hospedar aqui, já saiba que precisará trazer seus próprios itens de praia. Fora isso, é um bom hotel, mas espero que reconsiderem essa falha e, principalmente, treinem melhor a equipe para lidar com questões legítimas dos hóspedes com mais profissionalismo.

Location is great

Paid for a 2 queen room, but the room they gave us only had 1 kingsize bed and a pullout couch. The 2 queen bed was the specific reason I booked this hotel, just to be let down and told that the 2 queen be option wasn't available. Loud construction out front so it was hard to sleep in. The hotel is close to 5th ave, and a short walk to the beach.

The property needs a refresh; the rooms have worn furnishings.

A must stay. Excellent location. Beach is literally a short block away!! Main Street with all restaurants a block away. Rooftop bar is a must. Valet was awesome.

I enjoy staying here. They are pretty good to me.

Have stayed here 10 times in the last 3 years keeps getting not as good. Stupid rules at the pool that you have to pay for section we always used as guests. No hot water for 5 out of out seven days. No welcome beverage. Just slipping. Handle broken on closet door. Shower heat kept sliding down so you can’t be under the water. I fixed it with an elastic. Try somewhere else and this is coming from someone that loved this hotel.

Good hotel great staff. We were there for the Super Bowl and they throw a great Super Bowl party. I can highly recommend this hotel

The fives es un hotel de conveniencia. Con una cercanía a la quinta avenida pero con el plus de no captar el ruido, es tranquilo, se disfruta y se descansa. La habitación super limpia, la cama deliciosa. Tienes una parada de taxis justo al lado. Personal sumamente amable, en especial los delos restaurantes. Atención de lujo, para mí en este hotel ese es el ingrediente principal esencial para escojer lo, su atención al cliente.

Great location near to 5th avenue and lots of great restaurants. Bathroom was a bit dirty upon arrival but otherwise clean. Neighbors below us were quite loud very-early in morning and poor sound absorption.
