As one of the top ten city zoos in the world, and the largest in Southeast Asia, the Taipei Zoo is a piece of history, having opened over a century ago. The Zoo runs many successful breeding programs, and its resident giant pandas are extremely popular with visitors PLUS take a return journey on the Maokong Gondola gliding over the pretty treetopped slope to the mountain village of Maokong.
