An excellent place to chill out with plety to do around.
We have just spent a month in one of the `rooms` here, though really the one we stayed in was a self contained flat of generous proportions, it had a good sized bedroom, nice furniture, great wardrobe space and TV and Aircon, and a fan! There was also a seperat w.c and shower and a large lounge/kitchen and fridge with freezer. Nicks is run by `Nit` and assisited by `B` and the two women keep the place spotless. The grounds are lovely and the pool is divine and the feeling of privicy is excellent. Nicks Resort is a place to chill, as said we have stayed here for 4 weeks following travelling through India, Nepal, Vietnam and Cambodia, unless you `really` want to unwind a week here is great and if you like the seclusion then hey, stay longer. Although it is a 10-15 minute walk to the main road via nice lane, once there the area really opens up, just flag down a Baht-Bus (every 5 mins) into Pattaya (20 Baht) and vice-versa, really easy and really cheap, there is SO much to do around and on the main Sukumvit Road, there is a GREAT ladyboy show at MIMOSA just 20 mins away and costs only 50B to get in, it will be the bargain of your Thai trip, also, you MUST visit Nong Nooch Gardens, the hardy walker will take 20 mins to walk there on the main road but just pay 10B and you are there in 5 mins, 500B entrance fee gets you stroking Elephants and Tigers and seeing lots of shows, Zoo`s and best of all the Gardens, simply put they are beautiful and another bargain, There is a Sea-life centre on the Sukumvit road also and a hundred other places too, an Pattaya? well, read up on it for yourself, the open minded are in for a treat. Bang Sare is a small village but very nice and tourism has not encroached upon iit and it has a nice feel, and a lovely beach, lots of restaurants too with food at good prices. Only 25 mins walk from Nicks (are you in a hurry? catch the Baht Bus then) Best food so far? TESCO-LOTUS food hall upstairs in the supermarket on the Sukumvit road, cheap and good or what? So, stay at Nicks, Go to Pattaya, get off at the BIG C sign, walk 100m and catch the baht bus (10B) to the Pattaya seafront, strut your stuff and catch the Baht bus (10B) back to the top of the road (BIG C Supermarke) and do a food shop, have a meal at their food court, then cross the road with your 2-3 shopping bags and flag down the Baht bus (20B) back to Nicks. Easy. BTW, the Baht Bus is a pick-up with seating for 10-12 in the back.
