Great staff!

The apartments are spacious, clean and modern. The pool is beautiful and a calm, welcoming space to chill out while on holiday. The staff were so friendly and helpful with anything needed. They were very kind and happy.

Hotel has excellent location from town and the beach, hotel has nice pool and best rooms have kitchen space to cook meals

We enjoyed our stay at Otonomous very much. Staff were courteous, helpful and welcoming. The hotel had a comfortable organic decor and vive.

Expedia and Otonomus Hotel in Tulum did not provide the vacation experience we were promised. The website’s presentation of the hotel is misleading at best. I booked my stay through Expedia based on the descriptions, amenities, and representations shown in the listing for Otonomus Hotel in Tulum. Unfortunately, the reality did not match what was advertised. The property, services, and/or amenities were not as described, and key details were either misrepresented or omitted. THERE WAS NO OCEAN/SEA VIEW FROM ANY OF THE ROOMS. The desk clerk finally admitted that there is no “REAL” sea view from any of the rooms. They failed to mention that they are literally in the jungle. They offer 1 towel per guest, and you are forced to purchase additional towels if needed. They expect you to launder your linens and empty the trash as well. This is completely unacceptable. The sink and shower backed up. Finally, it was noisy. We were next door to a construction site, and we were awakened daily to construction noise before 8am, and it continued well past 8 pm. I relied on the accuracy of the listing when making my reservation, and the experience fell significantly short of what was promised. As a major booking platform, Expedia has a responsibility to ensure that the properties it promotes are accurately represented. Allowing misleading information to remain on the site is unacceptable and negatively impacts customers who trust the platform when making travel decisions. NEVER AGAIN

les points positifs. bel hotel, tres propres, acceuil sympatique et service aussi. le négatif, les chambres sont séparés juste par une porte, donc, on entend les voisins comme si ils sont avec nous dans notre chambre, donc bonne chance si vous avez des voisins qui parlent fort et qui veille tard. tres désagréable a devoir partager les bavardages des voisins. tres bruyant comme hotel...

Easy communication, helpful front desk, and stylish apartment.

Overall, I had a good stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient for getting around. The property feels well maintained and welcoming. The only downside was the noise. I stayed on the ground floor in a room that connects to the room next door, and the soundproofing was very limited. You can hear conversations and music clearly, even normal speaking volume, as if it’s happening in your own room. If you’re sensitive to noise, I would recommend requesting a room away from connecting doors or on a higher floor. Aside from that, it was a positive experience.

C’était parfait!

Otonomus Tulum har stora och moderna rum med sköna sängar. Tyvärr ligger det långt ifrån både strand och stad så bil är ett måste. Duschen saknar tryck och det är svårt att få ut schampo ur håret. Tyvärr saknas möbler på balkongen.

The place was clean only issues upon arrival the room was given away. No water on two occasions they fixed after we notified them. Not far from beach a short bike ride or scooter rental. Also the ocean view is lol. You can see it but barely. If you’re a smoker this is not the place for you. No elevator but stairs aren’t bad.

I had no hot water for showers or bathroom sink for the first few days I was there. When I said something to staff about it they said they were going to do something about it and it seemed to get a little better, but not really by much. Also the bed is very uncomfortable, the bedding is cheap and inadequate and the blinds are too small to actually cover the sliding glass doors, so the light comes in and you also have no privacy from whoever may be walking by. My friend had fixtures such as towel racks falling off the walls in his room. This place is also located in a no-mans land between the beach and town and while it is somewhat close to the beach, there is no pedestrian path to walk to the beach. I would NOT recommend staying here without a car. There is no food or drink besides a vending machine and absolutely nothing nearby. Stay on the beach if you can afford it, or in town if you can't.

Loved that this place was so spacious and beautiful! There wasn't too many front desk staff but the pool and lighting was great! I loved how the rooms came with washer/dryer, a full kitchen and a stove top. My friends and I got a pool on top of ours and it was beautiful!

El personal muy amable, la habitación muy limpia

Hotel was nice and staff were awesome. Hotel is a little remote not much around it so you have to drive or taxi. The road to the beach is a little sketchy to walk with no shoulder. But overall it’s a nice hotel. Will be nice when they finish the gym and have a few amenities. Staying at other hotels in tulum I wish it had a small restaurant for breakfast at least since it is a bit isolated from town and not that best walk on the road to the hotel zone.

El hotel es muy bonito y la ubicación es ideal entre la ciudad de Tulum y la playa de Tulum. El personal es muy amable y competente. Para estancias más largas, sería deseable contar con más equipo en la cocina, como platos y cubiertos, y servicio de toallas en el baño, además de recambios de champú y gel de ducha. Una sugerencia de mejora: el horario de silencio. Todos coincidimos en que los huéspedes deben ser considerados entre sí y comportarse con respeto durante el check-in nocturno. Lamentablemente, muchos huéspedes no cumplen con esta norma y el personal no la revisa durante la noche.
