Iris Hotel Can Tho

Staffs weren't friendly, seldom smile. They ignored us when we say thank you after we asked for thing. There were not warm shower. It was cold or a bit less cold water. Sink water was having hot option. We used to stay at this place before. It was much better than this time.

The service in the receptionist (Mr. Hien) really bad, me as a foreigner and my wife is a Vietnamese, they make difficulty for us, even we show all the evidence that we are husband and wife, the receptionist push us to show the marriage certificate, if we don't bring the certificate, they asking us to leave and find the other hotel without refund our money, or book another room in there. Really ridiculous, I never face this problem in the other hotel such as Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel is located in downtown of Can Tho, easy commute, nice view from my room.

This is my second time staying with this hotel. Due to the first good experience with them hence I decided to book this hotel again. But it seem that my decision for staying with them the second time is wrong. Here is my story: I checked in on the first day and found out that one of the light is not working and also the shower head is not giving enough water pressure. Not just the water pressure is not enough, the shower head above doesn't seem to work. I have informed the receptionist about the issue and the house keeper manage to fix the light problem and not the shower head issue. In the end I have to figure it out myself. I made a mistake for not reporting the fridge's plastic holder was damaged. So when the day I check out I foresee there will be some issue and I hope that we can resolve with a win win situation. However things doesn't goes as it seem. They blame me for damaging the fridge and question me why I did not report this in the beginning. The receptionist said that the house keeper will check the room everyday ensure that the room is good condition. If it is good condition why is my light not working properly? Apparently the receptionist is just translator for the house keeper. He told me he do not know what to do with my situation. So I guess the only thing is to pay for the damage and get my passport back. In conclusion, if you do not encounter any issue with them this is a good hotel to stay but if you have any dispute with them, you not gonna like the way they handle it. The level of customer service is not there to handle dispute matters.

great hotel with excellent service. Breakfast has various food with excellent quality. there are also a few Vietnamese dishes and they taste great. Rooms are always clean, modern and well equipped. I believe this is one of the best hotels in Can Tho so you can't go wrong with it.
