Over and above what is usually expected from a hostel. A hotel feel with in room kitchenette, towels provided, private outside space (our room had a terrace, others have balconies), air conditioning, good quality beds and bedding. Amenity spaces were well designed, clean and comfortable. Staff were the most friendly we experienced and offered advice tailored to our short stay. Lots of little touches that went a long way. Couldn’t be happier.

The ground floor private rooms are brilliant! Very spacious, comfy king size bed AND a little courtyard. Very close walking distance to fortitude valley train station. And a short walk to the Tivoli.

O esquema das camas em pod é muito bom, dando privacidade, trazendo silêncio e sem problemas de luzes atrapalharem o sono. O ar condicionado sempre ligado e uma porta/varanda ajudava a trocar o ar. O único porém foi a limpeza do banheiro. Fiquei por duas noites e o banheiro do quarto nunca foi higienizado.

The mirror inside my pod fell off the wall and hit me on my back at 3am in the morning due to the guy above me constantly moving around. The manager was informed and did nothing but offered me a free coffee. The mixed dorm was terrible, bad smelling socks and shoes lying everywhere. I requested a move and the ladies dorm was a lot better and more tidy. At night, it was noisy from the door and people going in and out. Guests were considerate and didn’t talk on phones or have ringers on. Staff could at least advise guests to lock up their shoes and socks in the provided lockers to keep the rooms smelling and looking better. Also, house keeping should come in daily to empty trash and spray air fresheners . Our dorm had the same trash in the can for days. This place wasn’t the worse but definitely not the best!

Stayed in a 4 pod female room with a private bathroom which was super handy. Reception was lovely-very welcoming person and answered my questions with patience. I was given a low pod as I had requested but be aware that for people with any mobility issues it’s just too low, much lower than the other low pods in other Lylo’s I’ve stayed in overseas. Thin mattress at ground level meant it literally felt like I was sleeping on the floor and it was super uncomfortable. Once I got up to go to the toilet it was too painful to get back down that low so I rested with my head on a pillow on the desk in the room but didn’t sleep from 1am to 4:30 when I left for the airport. Lift was also out so carrying my case up was tricky. Coffee machine was also under maintenance. Location itself was excellent-great pub meals at The Jubilee across the road and very near the train station.

Shared spaces and bathroom were tidy and in good condition, ventilation within the pod was lacking so I had to keep the door open throughout the night.

Check in was smooth and seamless. Room was clean, comfortable and secure. Love the roof top facilities. Close to the heart of Fortitude Valley.

had a balcony room which was nice but smelt a bit of smoke and people's belongings from the rooms above us kept falling into our balcony. Good for students or travellers.
