We had the most beautiful spa room that had a huge bed and a beautiful clean modern bathroom with a very luxurious spa tub! Great view over the surrounding area and very well positioned for shops and restaurants

Great hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect — close to everything. Highly recommended.
The only downside was the fire alarm going off around 1am, which meant the hotel had to be evacuated. That said, the staff member on duty was working alone and handled the situation incredibly well. The evacuation was calm, organised, and everyone was kept safe. Huge credit to him.
Thank you for a great stay — I’ll definitely be back next time.

my west facing room's air con not working. its like an oven in the evening. reception said there is no spare room to swop. very disappointed. at least they do make efford to get that fixed the next day. spa is great though. most facilities are in good condition. location is also very convenient

The fact that it was available on short notice as we decided we could not possibly at the Discovery Parks accomodation at Cradle Mountain as it was appalling. The Gateway was clean tidy snd in a good location with friendly staff
