Really nice hotel in a great area to explore Antwerp. We were in a Suite room which had a great terrace but the room itself was a bit small for a suite, other suites on the floorplan looked a bit bigger. Great day gym pass, nice bar. Would have been nice for rooms to have a fridge in, especially as tap water doesn't get that cold.

The decor and position of the hotel were excellent, very stylish and unusual. The lighting in the room was dramatic but did not include a convenient reading light. My sink had no plug and to door had to be kicked to gain access. The hotel; is very convenient to the museums of art, on a direct tram line to the historic centre and with plenty of cafes and restaurants all around. However we were led to expect a bar and cafe available to guests. The Expedia description listed A bar/lounge, A coffee shop/cafe, A restaurant, Restaurants on-site, Pilar Foodbar – This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and light fare. Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar.' The 'Top rated breakfast' was first of all offered available only from Wednesday to Sunday and then unexpectedly on Tuesday as well. It was very nice but the same dishes varied in size from day to day. There was no dinner on Monday and Tuesday or on Wednesday and Thursday when, because of a private function, there was no access to the restaurant, cafe or bar. In fact we were told we could not have a drink on the terrace either. There is now where to sit and wait for friends in the foyer Expedia states that 'The front desk is open daily from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM'. It was often unstaffed and we had problems checking out quickly with a taxi waiting as there were no staff available.

A super unique property, walking distance from everywhere I needed to be!

Fijn designhotel, mooie kamers, open badkamer, modern. Een issue met de kamer werd vriendelijk en professioneel naar tevredenheid afgehandeld.

Located at a round about with several great restaurants and pubs. Walkable to many more restaurants and to a museum. Staff was excellent, welcoming and informative.

Ruime kamer, prima bedden en heerlijke douche. Locatie hotel op het Zuid is uitstekend. Ideale uitvalbasis voor een paar dagen Antwerpen.

Locatie heel chique, enorm vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt en mooie kunst.

Het was geweldig. We hebben met vrienden oud en nieuw gevierd bij Pilar en de staff was zo vriendelijk. Ze deelden veel tips en waren super behulpzaam. De kamers waren cool en eigenzinnig, de locatie super bij veel leuke barretjes en op loopafstand van het water en veel leuke winkels. Het diner was echt geweldig, een speciaal 5-gangen menu, alles even lekker. Zou dit hotel super aanraden, wij komen zeker terug!

Goede plek, mooi hotel. Lift was kapot helaas. En je kan ramen niet openen in kamer

Erg fijn hotel. De faciliteiten zijn goed, fijne douche, lekker bed en ruime kamer. Locatie is ook erg goed, alles op loopafstand en leuke horeca in de omgeving.

Klein maar OK Mooie locatie Dicht bij event waar ik heen ging Al bij al goed genoeg ✅

It was a nice place to stay, only the doors in the appartement are to heavy.

Hele fijn locatie, ruime kamer. Vriendelijk personeel en goed ontbijt. De kamer zelf kan echt wel wat onderhoud en reparatie gebruiken.

The hotel was in a great area with lots of options for bars (cafe hopper, patine) and dinning (den artiste brasserie was good). It is around a 20 min walk from the main square (grote market/de kathedraal) and theatreplein (where there is a good market and you can get fresh fruit/vegetables, fresh waffles, croquettes/cava amongst other things). Hotel wasn’t the cleanest (sheets and towels were found stained), bugs in room, safety deposit box and room phone didn’t work - when asked for working ones hotel staff said they would switch them right away and then never came to do so (safety deposit box is important when you are a tourist carrying money and passports). Hotel staff we dealt with wasn’t the most helpful, although nice but when asked for restaurant/bar recommendations and sites to see (we found everything through our own research). If these easy fixes can be taken care of this would be a great hotel recommendation.

De kamer gaf in tegenstelling tot de lobby en het restaurant een vrij een onverzorgde en uitgeleefde indruk. Het bad werkte niet naar behoren, er waren hier en daar vochtvlekken op de muren,... Het personeel was wel behulpzaam maar we hadden er meer van verwacht. Er zit meer in dit hotel dan er nu uitkomt...

Overall, a really pleasant stay. The room was really nice and the restaurant was quite good. However, the room felt a bit unfinished (missing towel hooks, no hand towels, no slippers).
