We had a wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and made to feel genuinely welcome. The hotel has a unique character and cozy atmosphere that sets it apart from larger chain properties. Our room was beautifully appointed, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable furnishings and attention to every detail. The hotel’s quaint charm was evident throughout the property, creating a relaxing and inviting environment. Steve, the owner, was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. His personalized service truly made a difference. The location was ideal, offering easy access to local attractions while still providing a peaceful retreat. We also appreciated the lovely amenities and the care taken to maintain the property. If you're looking for a memorable stay with character, comfort, and outstanding service, this boutique hotel is an excellent choice. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely hotel. Unfortunately the area around the hotel is noisy, dirty and a bit sketchy. We did find a nice pub a few blocks away.

Wow what an amazing hotel. We came to Weymouth for a friend's birthday party and just booked something quickly. We have been to many 4 and 5 star hotels in UK and abroad and this little boutique hotel was such a lovely surprise and so reasonably priced, especially as we have stayed in many boutique hotel chains at a much higher price. Even before our arrival I had a personal text message from the owner to welcome us. The hotel has many lovely quirky features and it smelt amazing. Spotlessly clean and so many little touches that really made it special. The views of the sea were stunning. We were personally shown to our room and had a little book to welcome us with information about the history of the hotel and the local area. The room had little extras like a magnifying mirror and ear plugs as well as the usual toiletries. When we returned back to the hotel in the evening there were little candles lit up the stairs which was so pretty. The breakfast the next morning was so good with a basket of fresh bread and pastries. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming particularly Steve who couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it if you are looking for a little escape to Weymouth.

We had a wonderful stay. We booked a sea view room, the view was superb. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The service we received from Steve (the hotel manager/owner) was fantastic. He made sure we were well catered for at breakfast as vegans. This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend.

Steve is welcoming and runs a beautiful hotel. My room overlooked the sea,and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , fresh fruits, compôte , yoghurts, warm bread and croissants. Lovely coffee. All in all I would recommend Chapter 1 as a very civilised resting place.

Location and the View are one of the best in town, breakfast is great with lots of choices. Steve is very friendly and helpful in many ways.

Our host Steve was superb, nothing is too much trouble for him. If you want an elegant, stylish place to stay, you’ve found the right spot. I am extremely fussy and I couldn’t find any faults.

Steve, the Narrator, is a perfect host. His level of service is unmatched, and his attention to detail made our stay perfect. The location, on the beach, is spot on as a starting point for exploring all Weymouth has to offer.

What an amazing place to stay. The decor was beautifully designed. The host, Steve was so friendly and accommodating and made sure that we were given a room so that we could have plenty of space. The Italian breakfast was lovely, overlooking the sea. The location was very central to Weymouth beach and town. A charming place to stay. Definitely worth all the 5* reviews that have been written about it. Chapter 1 is worth a visit!

Anyone who has stayed here before will certainly be a return! the place is spotless, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the location is awesome, our room was a sea view room with a spy glass which my daughter used instead of her telescope and we both had the most amazing stay. We will definitely return!

Trevligt fräscht och rent hotell med trevlig mycket serviceinriktad värd (Steve). Ligger med utsikt till strandpromenaden. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell. Roligt med olika film- och boktitlar som tema! Många detaljer kring temat att upptäcka. Fick tips via hemsida och genom Steve på restauranger och utflyktsmål.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt! Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Ruhiges Zimmer mit allem, was man braucht. Sehr zentrale Lage, unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Veldig hyggelig vert som tar deg imot ved ankomst, enkel men helt grei frokost,enkelt og gammelt hotell, men med perfekt beliggenhet.
