Wonderful stay. Clean room (although strong smell of drains), very comfy bed. Great to have a bath and a separate shower. Food was amazing. Pork crackling, rump steak and seabass all cooked to absolute perfection. Cheeseboard taken to room was a great late night supper! Breakfast was superb. How they managed to get my poached egg transported up to the furthest room from the kitchen, and it still be perfectly cooked, amazes me! Every member of staff was friendly, efficient, polite and helpful. All are a credit to the Hall. Will certainly return as soon as finances allow!

Excellent stay for 3 nights. Room was good and staff were helpful. Nice meal in the bar on the first evening even though we ran late. Would stay again.

Outstanding location!! Two lamps in our room not working and pillows very minimalist for our liking (thin)..but an otherwise excellent facility and service from the in-house staff. Our evening meal at the hotel restaurant was a memorable experience (the good kind!).

Hotel was beautiful, food was excellent and staff were very attentive. Would definitely stay again.

Service, cleanliness, food and building were excellent. The carpets were a little worn and the plumbing could be modernized, but those are quibbles.

Lovely room, friendly staff and historic hotel.

The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. The only down was the bathroom, we asked for an accessible room which we got. They provided a bath stool, but the shower was small making it difficult to move around.

Stunning from the scenery to the hotel staff the grounds the building was just incredible

Lovely hotel though a bit like a rabbit warren inside but a great mix of old and new. The best part is the staff - they are just SO friendly, helpful but very professional. On our first evening, as we sat in the lounge, we were approached by an elderly gentleman who enquired how long we were staying and where we had come from etc. We asked him how long had he been staying there and as he walked off he replied "98 years". It turned out he was 98 year old Lord Gisborough! The hotel is owned by Lord Gisborough and his family. The food was excellently prepared and everywhere was very clean.

Really enjoyed my stay for a friends wedding. Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. Would like to recognise Ryan and Maddie who were fab. Nothing was too much for them. Venue was beautiful and clean. Many things to do, however didn’t visit them all on this trip. 10/10 would definitely and can’t wait to visit again.
