I need to pay more attention to what I am booking but this place didnt really feel like a hotel but a conference centre with rooms. But on saying that there were positives which I will start with. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly even when I was grumpy. Secondly, breakfast was pretty good. The rooms, as the weekend was a hot one, were cool even without air con. And the bed comfy. Now to the bad points. I am a big guy and the room i was given I could not fit in the shower. The gap in the doors just didnt allow it. To be fair to the hotel staff they swapped out room where the shower cubicle had a proper door and no problems. What I dont get is apparently this is a common complaint with the room we were given. So change the shower cubicle. I would like to point out it wasnt the size of the cubicle just the doors didnt open wide. And lastly its a pet peeve that you have to buzz in and out of the hotel. I just dont see the point and it just makes me fill like I am not trusted. Minor thing as it seems to be creeping into hotels but I hate it. Got to admit the staff saved this review as I was close to blowing my top over the shower.

An excellent stopover on a long journey north! It indeed has the air of a conference centre, and obviously was very quiet as there was no conference on, and that suited us. Our single bedrooms were small, but adequately equipped with a comfortable chair, and tea-making facilities, and nice en-suite. The rooms were very quiet, and had very comfortable beds. Ample parking, in beautiful grounds The evening bar menu had a good choice, and breakfast menu had a good range of choice, and was very good. All the staff without exception were extremely helpful. Excellent value.

Usual standard, no issues at all.

What a beautiful setting, and friendly helpful staff! Warmly greeted on arrival, enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar area with (again) another friendly staff member. Will definitely stay here again.

Another very good value-for-money short stay at Hillscourt. Clean room, friendly staff (a number of whom now know me on sight), a hearty breakfast included, and a very good evening meal the night before. I will definitely be returning.

Always a warn welcome.. The hotel is spotless and in a beautiful location in Rednal The breakfast is to die for. Highly recommend

Evening meal in the Bistro was tasty and well priced. Breakfast was good. Reception & bar staff were all very friendly.

Lovely welcoming staff. Great sized room which was clean and well laid out. Good selection for breakfast. Would absolutely stay again.

A bit tired in places but very clean with very friendly staff and a great breakfast. For staying close to Cadburys World with breakfast and parking included I don't think you can find anything better.

Wifi wasnt the greatest. But ok.

Bon séjour dans l'ensemble, le petit déjeuner est convenable sans plus. La chambre est tres bien, seul bemol: la salle de bain qui aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement, la cabine de douche est assez petite et la lumière qui se déclenche avec un détecteur de mouvement n'est pas pratique du tout. Mais globalement positive expérience.

Room was fine. Not enough wardrobe/ drawer space (was there 5 nights). Shame wasn't option to have room with a bath. Hot breakfast was not available until 7:30 which was late (helpful staff did do egg on toast for me at 7:15)

The place it’s astonishing, peaceful 😌 staffs they were ok 👍. Only thing I came half ours before and they don’t allowed me to check in.
