Truly wonderful staff who really understand how to make you feel welcome and comfortable without being overly ‘there’. Plenty of space to relax and be ourselves. A couple of the waiting staff outside were a little brusque for our tastes but this is splitting hairs.
Spectacular location and the views over the marina are stunning. The view was well worth the money for a room upgrade in my eyes.
The room itself was spacious and very comfortable. The bath was deep, filled quickly and hot enough for plenty of monkey noises getting it in!
The bed was big and supportive, albeit with a worrying gap in the middle I nearly went through.
The restaurant was simple, elegant and inviting. The food was a real treat. I expected good. I didn’t expect THAT good. Speaking of which, the cocktails were outstanding.
We rounded off our stay with coffee in the sunshine and reflected that this will be our base whenever we’re back in Ipswich.
Many thanks to everyone who made our stay so lovely.

Secure parking within the harbour just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Very good value for money and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I used to stay regularly some 4 years ago but now it’s gone downhill. Parking is charged for, breakfast is extra, bathroom amenities are cheap, no dressing gowns in rooms, quality of bar food has gone down and the atmosphere is missing. We were in 202 and got woken in the night by door slamming (several times) and noise of plant/machinery when it was open, the ground floor public/bar gents did not have a functioning locking mechanism. Comfortable bed, good staff but really not top quality anymore which for that price in Ipswich, it should be.
