Fantastic location. Really nicely decorated and has everything you needed. Comfortable bed, lush shower. Host was great, really accommodating, had thought of everything. So easy to get to bars,restaurants, shopping, train station etc, would highly recommend to anyone. We booked the smallest room,and it was perfectly fine as a place to sleep and shower. Excellent stay.

This is a gem of a place. So,cosy,quiet even though in the old town. So tastefully decorated inside and the patio areas. Lovely teas to sample in the room. Paul was helpful and charming when I finnaly found him! Fabulous stay

Every review was spot on. Paul, our host, welcomed us to his amazing boutique hotel. Overall this intriguing hotel offered a unique stay and a feast for the eyes! The heated floors and automatic sky lighting was simply amazing comfort additions. Every need from hair dryer, iron, microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, and refrigerator were excellent editions to the perfect spot. Upon entering you find yourself in a beautiful secret garden with a small coy fish pond. The paintings and flower allowed your eyes to wonder and dream. Our room offered a jutebox and original artwork to feed the artist in your soul. The space would allow you to entertain if you so desired. The beach was less than a block away and while the area is fairly quiet during the week on the weekend everything become lively but don't worry once you are in hotel garden all is quiet. We can't wait to return! This boutique hotel and the city of Margate is a true GEM!

The Beetroot is a fantastic boutique place to stay in Margate. Paul was a great host, and is developing this into a fantastic destination just a few minutes from the beach and right in the old town. Highly recommended

Lovely, quirky hotel. At the same time tasteful and nice. Great location in Old Town Margate, everything was just a few mins walk or less, shops, bars, beach, seafront. We stayed 3 nights and everything was perfect. Check in and communication from Paul the owner was very easy and efficient. Each room at the hotel is different, ours was split on 2 levels with the bed and hanging space upstairs. Downstairs was a well equipped kitchen and a nice cave-like bathroom with lovely powerful shower. The outside courtyard space was also pleasant, we had our morning cuppa out there each day along with the plants, butterflies, goldfish pond and trickling water feature. Perfect. We came for a concert at Dreamland, this was maybe 10min walk. Paul was always on hand to check everything was ok and a friendly chat without being interfering. 5* well recommended, will definitely book again whenever we're in the area.

Lovely cute guest house , Margate is not great, a lot was closed and it’s very old and tried looking . Not worth going

Stay was fantastic. Paul made everything really easy and was an amazing host. Would highly recommend for a great location and a quiet secure stay in Margate.

Paul was very helpful. Hotel is quiet. Taxi drivers don't find the hotel easy to locate to pick up guests.

Paul was very helpful. We were able to check in early and after we checked out we were able to leave our bags for the day. Great location right in the middle of old town.

The property was in an excellent position for us to explore. It was very well presented and offered everything we needed. The host Paul was brilliant from initial contact to showing us the room. Couldn’t ask for better. We went during a storm and once in the room couldn’t hear a thing. Will go back to the beetroot

Super accommodating and friendly host. Location two minutes walk to sea front and nice bars and restaurants. Five minutes walk to Turner Contemporary.
