Great location, easy to get to, great big parking, nice little village with a Chinese takeout across the street, a Coop close by. Sadly the cleanliness of the room was poor. Grime in the bathroom where floor meets walls. Very dirty remote control, some kind of sauce spilled on the side of the chest of drawers. Bed linen clean and bed comfortable. The radiator nob not functioning as it should. Should have stayed two nights but left after the first. Sorry, but proper cleaning of the room is so important.

Bathroom was clean, it would of been nice if there was pillow protectors on, coffee and tea was supplied. The floor near the bathroom door felt like it needs to be replaced as there was a hole under the carpet.

Parking was fine , the place needs a lot of updating . Very tired inside although the room was clean .

Nice clean and comfortable room, which allows dogs, so perfect for me. Excellent parking and easy access to M6 motorway, so ideal as a stopover.

Stayed one night during drive south. Good place for an overnight stop.

Only redeeming quality was the staff. Window frames rotten, noisy until 4am from someone’s TV or stream, shower dirty and cramped to get into, carpets stained. Was meant to be there for 3 nights but couldn’t face the last night and went to a proper hotel. Staff friendly though

I particularly liked that the stafff and customers of the Bridgehouse welcomed me. The place had the social feeling of what I think a good pub should be. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet too.

Experience was fantastic 100% what I needed after a long trip. The staff was nice and the area is beautiful

I just needed a bed for the night, to break a long drive. The hotel was very basic, which I should perhaps have anticipated for the price. It was not particularly clean. Handrails on the stair were grimy, the main door needed repairing. I didn't feel confident of the cleanliness of the bathroom or the bed. The sheets and towels were thin. But I slept OK. It felt like an operation run on a shoestring and I was glad to leave the next morning and I found a delicious breakfast somewhere else. Would not dream of recommending to anyone in its present state

Lovely welcome.. very basic but clean and very good pub grub. Slept great but not thick walls so aware of other room noises in the morning.

You pay for what you get in need of upgrading but is what it is

Couldn't even stay, front house person was in dirty stained clothes rooms old, grotty and bathroom not cleaned unhygenic. We left and found alternative accommodation Not like Expedia had advertised and how other people has rated this accommodation as good is beyond me. Dirty accommodation is not good

Good value for the money. Staff were very helpful

Overnight stay , single female as need to be in Penkridge early next day Breakfast freshly cooked and tasty , bed clean and comfortable Staff very kind , would stay again

Bar and restaurant closed at 8.30 pm and wasn't open at 7.30 am the next day. Unable to get any food or to check out.
