We stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 as we were going to the races. Great location and the family room was perfect Great size with a singular bed in its own room. After reading the reviews we were a bit horrified but no need at all. The beds were really comfortable with lovely fresh clean bedding and towels. Toiletries provided, tea and coffee making supplies with biscuits too. Overall a great stay. We would stay again. Thank you.

Fair amount ot parking spaces but if you are going to Newmarket Racing then i would get there early, we arrived at around 12pm and managed to grab the last empty parking space thankfully.
Staff were lovely, allowed us early check in and were very helpful with Taxis and restaurant recommendations (we ate in Burkha round the corner and the food was beautiful!
I had one of the Executive rooms which was nice and spacious.
Will definitely stay again next time i go to the races.

First off the staff were lovely and so helpful.
The hotel itself could do with more attention to detail - we got a free room upgrade but only because the toilet seat came off in our hands first use.
Second room was very spacious but there wete issues - its an old building so we were expecting uneven floors - leaking showers not so much, flickering lights when first switched on. A lot of the communal areas really needed some TLC - its location to Newbury is very good - we were using the hotel as a base for visiting Highclere and enjoyed wandering round Newbury highstreet.

I’ve stayed here before and the rooms have always been okay but this time my room was poor. The curtains were hanging off the hooks, there were cob webs in the corners and a whole in the wall. The room felt really musty and claustrophobic. I was going to ask if I could swap rooms but I didn’t have time before I had to leave for the evening. It felt like the room hadn’t been used for a while.
I booked a cheap room so I didn’t have to get a cab home by myself late at night however the rooms location and it’s condition didn’t feel very safe.
Breakfast was nice but staff could have been more welcoming.

Good location in town centre, parking on site, very nice friendly and helpful staff. Food & drink good. Nice decor and room tidy.
Only complaint - room was on the front and noisy with traffic - requires double glazing and better coverage curtains to stop car lights. Traffic is light but the windows are old and offer no sound reduction. But I would be happy to stay again - in a different room.
