What a lovely room. A bed you could sink into, even though my husband prefers a firmer bed I thought it was great. Loved the Character of the place so much history.
Menu looked good but unfortunately we weren’t there to eat an evening meal.
Ooh! but having stayed in many hotels this had the best and most perfectly cooked English Breakfast I have ever had. Even better than mine and that’s saying something. Staff were very friendly and I would be very happy to recommend anyone to stay here.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back.

Very dark, very dated bathroom and I had the 4 poster room. Windows in bad state of repair.
TV remote control had a covering of dirst/dust/ hair !!!
Left my room within 5 mins and drove home, I didn't see the point of discussing it with the people running the place.
Do not stay here!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel is very old and dated. Some people like this of course but some of the bathroom fittings could have been better. The room had holes in the wall, windows were dirty and I just felt it needed a good clean and upgrade.

The hospitality was some of the best i have ever experienced. The food was great, the beer garden was perfect. Brian and Sue and the entire staff were absolutely the best and will forever be a memorable part of our trip. Yes, the building is old, 1600s. To us, that is a key part of the charm. You wont be disappointed. Dont hesitate. Dont overthink it. Book your stay here.

Super friendly and helpful staff especially Joe and Keri. Lovely owners who chatted with us each night and gave us tips on what to see. Comfortable bed and room.
Really old buildings so don’t expect it to be pristine but it has loads of character and history.
We ate in the pub both nights, the food was good, served very quickly considering it is all cooked to order and was fairly priced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
