Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good mattress topper to add comfort. But don't let that put you off. It's an experience that will certainly but a smile on your face.
Nick is such a lovely and helpful host and the place is beautiful, peaceful and has everything you need. Unfortunately it was raining all the time so we couldn't explore the area as much as we wanted to but that's UK weather for you.
I'd happily go back to the cellars and would like to stay at the orangery too.
This place is truly unique and full of character. Warm, peaceful, comfortable, great Wi-Fi, and equipped with everything you need. The proximity to Bristol is perfect, plus there’s free parking and a lovely pub just down the road. Nick is an absolute legend of a host — incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return.
