Room spacious and clean, breakfast cooked excellent and fresh with good options. Lovely experience.

We stayed from 24th to 27th Aug 3 nights and didn’t realise when we booked we had stayed 10 yrs ago.Which Mark mentioned when we checked in as his Wife Kaz recognised the name. Had a lovely stay the weather was amazing, good breakfast and parking. The Seagulls were a bit annoying as they woke us at 5am but apart from that.We won’t leave it as long next time.

Amazing place. Walking distance to town centre and the beach. Family run b/b. Very friendly owners. Very clean. Would recommend it to anyone. Will go back one day. Thank you Mark and Kaz

Very close to Shanklin High street. Free and nice breakfast is absolute a plus. Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Definitely recommend!

Really pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful time here during our stay on the Isle of Wight - the BnB is ran by a lovely couple who catered a tasty fresh breakfast for us each morning. The beds are extrenely comfortable in peaceful rooms - would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the island. Meeting their adorable rescue dog was a treat too!

The hosts are engaging, responsive and friendly, ensuring all guests are welcomed and comfortable. Breakfasts are well cooked and plentiful. The rooms and ensuites are generously proportioned, clean and well decorated. The property is very well appointed for pubs, restaurants and only a short walk from the esplanade and beach. I highly commend this establishment.

Brilliant had great time bringing brilliant people

We stayed in room 6 the small double and it wasn't as small as i imagined it would be. Very good size and everything was lovely. Hosts were nice and breakfast was well organised

Great stay, great hosts, great location, lovely breakfast !!!

The Richmond location is ideal for walking, buses and train station. The property is comfortable and has everything you require in the room. If i was being picky i would like to see less sugary items at breakfast and opt for plain greek yogurt, Weetabix, low sugar muesli as the options on offer are too sweet. Also less plastic flowers and plants which attract the dust but that is only my preference otherwise all good.

The Richmond was quiet and restful, which was what we were looking for. The room was large and airy, comfortably furnished with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was perfectly cooked with plenty of choice. The owners were friendly and helpful, keen that we enjoy our stay. We would be very happy to stay there again. We were sad that this lovely couple, working hard and doing a great job, have had to take abuse from unreasonable people who expect the service of a 5* hotel from B & B proprieters. Read the information before you book folks and leave vacancies at this lovely place for people who appreciate it.

The Richmond is a lovely place to stay- Mark and his wife are lovely people . The breakfast was delicious and the room was perfect- I was on a group tour and this was a very comfortable place to come back to

I liked the room which was quite large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

The stay for one night was very pleasant. Mark was very welcoming and clear about the accommodation and local facilities. The room was really comfortable and clean.

A lovely bed and breakfast with very friendly hosts. Very clean and tidy with nice decor. The aduslts only policy is a bonus as it was very quiet. The location is within walking distance of the beach, the bus and railway stations as well as the restuarants in the old town.

The Richmond is a wonderful b&b with faultless service through and through. The only slight niggles were the car parking which can be a little tricky to negotiate (but we did park on-site for our entire stay) and the size of the room, as we had the smaller double room. It was still big enough to accommodate both of us, but there was no storage space but we knew this in advance. Otherwise it was superb - Mark and Caz are wonderful, friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were lovely and it is in a great location for the centre of Shanklin, and only a few minutes walk from the old village. It is also by far the cleanest b&b we have ever stayed in. Faultless.

Good location for all parts of town for beach, walks, shops, theatre. Parts of town are a bit run down.

Owners very friendly and accommodating would use again
