Really lovely area, great pub with welcoming staff. The room was easily accessible, which was perfect as I went to sleep quite late. The only issue was the lack of hot water when I tried to have a shower.

The breakfast was very disappointing. We were only offered the menu of cooked dishes. I had to ask for cereal which consisted of a small packet of cornflakes. There was no breakfast bar which one normally finds in hotels with a selection of fresh fruit, marmalade, jams etc. For this reason, I would not choose this pub again. This is a shame as we enjoyed our dinner and the room and facilities were fine.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The walls are thin so sound from adjoining rooms is audible but my sleep was not disturbed. The toilet does not have a good flush. The bathroom was clean, warm. The shower was excellent and the towels soft and luxuriant. I liked the option of a bath but didn't use it. The staff were attentive, cheerful, helpful. Breakfast was good and was substantial. Evening meal on one night was excellent but not so good on the other.

The pub and restaurant was lovely, as was the breakfast, the room unfortunatly was a little tired , stain on bedding even though it was clean. Shower leaked and ran all over the floor, ants everywhere we even brought them home, yuck, and there are lights in the bedroom that are two bright for a good nights sleep we tried to cover them but to no avail and noise from the other bedrooms was also a problem

Ethan was very friendly and helpful even though he was working alone and had been let down by housekeeping staff not turning up to work. The same can’t be said for the young lady working the bar that evening, who was less than friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good quality and cooked and served speedily. Have visited the pub many times over the years and pleasantly surprised how much more comfortable it is now. Over all a great stay

Check in was straightforward, I arrived earlier than check in but was able to access my room. Room was clean & bright & roomy. Large comfy bed & all facilities. Well positioned for visiting Bury St Edmunds & surrounding area. Lovely village pub which was popular with locals. Staff friendly & food good.

All ok for the price . Simple but had all you need . Would consider it again if we're staying in the area

Run away from the "KIng William" room 109 and Expedia. The shower controls were not working. The on/off control was not working so as you turned it, it went from off to trickle to off and anywhere in between. The hot cold went from cold to maybe warm, to off to trickle. What the heck. The second night I was allowed to go to room 106 so that I could take a better shower... newer controls but no hot water at all. On to room 105 with a working shower. If we had booked the place ourselves, we could have had a refund and left. We felt like we had no option to leave because there was no one to talk to at Expedia. the walls in 109 were also paper thin. We could hear the people next door as if they were in the room with us even though they were using a conversational volume. We even knew when they blew their nose. The second morning we left without even eating our "free" breakfast ~ that's how badly I wanted to get the heck out of there. I do have to say, though, the staff did what they could and were very friendly. I will never book thru Expedia again.

Best full English I have ever had and one of the best nights

Everything we needed for a short stay in Bury St.Edmunds. Polite welcoming staff, clean modern room and wonderful breakfast.

We recently stayed at the Three Kings for 2 nights, having stayed there before. The room contained a very comfortable and large bed, with an adequate TV, coffee machine, kettle, coffee/tea, hairdryer, hanging space, and a fold up suitcase stand. The bathroom had shampoo and shower gel, and the shower itself was very good. The property has a restaurant and bar attached, where we had a very good dinner on the first night. This is where breakfast was served which, on the first morning, was exceptional. Unfortunately, on the second morning, some items not required were served and other items were missing and/or cold. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and helped to make our stay enjoyable, thank you! We look forward to visiting again, and we would certainly recommend the Three Kings.

Rooms clean and well equipt csn

I left something in my room, called several times but no one picked up, nor did anyone call me back. At breakfast when I asked for a 2nd cup of coffee, was told that the coffee machine was broken. So-so service; but the pub was nice in the evening.

The staff was amazing. When we got there and our room wasn’t set up as a twin for my adult daughter and I they swiftly offered us both our own rooms using an unbooked room - we don’t even have to ask. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Thanks!

Was great place to stay, very close to Town, room was very nice and clean, pub was very good for food and breakfast was really nice and it was right up till 10am. Also the check out tine was not rushed and said we could check out as late as 12. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
