On arrival at 2:45 for 3pm check in we were told by the girl it was £15 for an early check in, at £1 a minute we said no thank you we will sit in the car.
We said there was coffee pods in the room but no Coffee machine, she said oh I don’t know, so that was the end of that.
Next morning with another guest we were trying to get into the pub area, only to find both doors were locked. The same girl as yesterday eventually opened up and said you should use other door, when we said we did she said Oh it could be faulty then. No apology !
Breakfast was different, posh menu but nothing standard, if you have kids forget it. We asked if there were any cereals ie cornflakes, weetabix etc ?
No we’ve run out we were busy yesterday ! Any yoghurt or preserves, jam or marmalade, No we’ve run out !
Ok do you have porridge ? Can you ask please, then we heard the cheff shout in the back area porridge is not on the menu. We asked was there any toast, No just bread and butter !
When the breakfast arrived it had the porridge in the middle of the plate with the cooked items around it, that was a first.
I asked for sugar as honey was a no no and she brought sugar lumps from off the bar. At that point we gave up.
Food was nice, front of house attitude was terrible, you didn’t feel a guest, you were just another burden.
No good morning or goodbye.
Shame it could have been a good stay but obviously someone has no idea about hospitality or to create an environment you would wish to return to.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean with all the amenities with tea and coffee making facilities. When we were shown our room and we had to take the stairs to get to it, my wife didn't expect this. Once in the room, my wife was expecting a robe but none was provided. There is a radiator in the room which we had to use in the morning. We had a quiet and peaceful night. We had dinner and it took some time but it was worth the wait, the food was excellent. The next morning, we had breakfast which was included, it was very good. We enjoyed our stay there.
My wife was trying to ring on the same day after 12 pm, she could not get an answer.

Really lovely area, great pub with welcoming staff. The room was easily accessible, which was perfect as I went to sleep quite late. The only issue was the lack of hot water when I tried to have a shower.

At check in time of 3pm it was disconcerting to discover the pub was closed with sign on door asking those arriving to ring a mobile number. This we did and someone did appear, promptly, and checked us in explaining that there were electrical issues in the pub but the rooms were unaffected. He confirmed breakfast would still be available and each of our three mornings Kevin arrived and cooked a great breakfast to order. Breakfast was a bit lacking in the extras - not a great choice of cereals and pastries only appeared on the last day - but considering the practicalities they were dealing with it was managed pretty well. We discovered from some locals that the pub had been shut for about three weeks so we would have appreciated some forewarning of the lack of evening meal availability as we had planned to eat in the pub that first evening.

We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. Room clean and comfortable, major plus was good sized bath towels. Breakfast was indeed provided, full English cooked fresh to order, Kevin was lovely. Only complaint is that we weren’t forewarned about the pub being closed.

Without any advance warning we arrived to find the Three Kings closed due to an electrical fault in the pub/restaurant. No one was present at the property, just a telephone number to call if you wanted to book in. We called the number and it went to answerphone. After 10 minutes and no call back we called again to be told someone would come to the hotel and speak to us in 5 minutes. When someone arrived he informed that we could still book as the room had electricity in, but there would be no other facilities available. We certainly did not want to stay the night in an unattended hotel and have no on-site food and drink. This was not what we booked! We informed the person who met us that we would not be staying and requested the refund of advance payment. He accepted this but stated that we needed to get the refund from Hotels.com. We have requested this by email but are still awaiting a response. Poor show from both Three Kings and Hotels.com for not giving us advance warning of the situation.

To start with when we arrived the was a number on the door of the bar ( witch was closed because of electrical issues) to ring for some one to bring the key , we waited 20 mins and some one turned up .
We asked why the bar wasn't open and were told they had had a leak and it had burned out the electrics.
The rooms weren't bad but you could her the TV from nextdoor and the people upstairs .
We asked about getting a drink and the girl said we have a sister bar about 25 /30 mins walk away witch wasn't ideal.
The next morning we went for breakfast and it was in the bar with the lights on and were promptly told bye the server / chef the bar was closed because the chef and another staff member had walked out .
He was very up front and apologetic and the breakfast was lovely .
Then on the Sunday we got up for breakfast but nobody turned up to open the bar and serve breakfast we rang a few numbers in lodin the sister bar and eventually got an answer. She said she would ring someone and ring us back but they never did .
The cleaner turned up and she managed to get in touch with someone and all they said was you can have the money back for your breakfasts.
It totally spoiled the reason I was in bury at Edmonds witch was to attend my niece's wedding

Sadly the pub was closed due to electrical issues, so we had to call a number to check in. Not a problem...
After 3 calls (leaving messages), about 40/45 minutes later we finally got into our room, which was lovely, clean, and cool (given the weather)!
Unfortunately, the pub being closed meant we couldn't get dinner or a drink, so we thought a nice cuppa would help, but sadly, no milk, only one 'proper' tea bag, and no coffee, so we settled down to watch the England match instead with some water we'd brought with us.
Finally, on check in, we advised that we had to leave at 7.30 the following morning, and we were told that no problem, they should be able to sort breakfast for about 7. If there were any issues, we'd get a text.
No text, so we got up early to be ready for 7 - and nothing. We gave up, didn't bother calling (as we didn't want to leave another message), left at 7.40, and bought food at the car show.
Very disappointed overall, could have coped if we'd had milk, and extra teabag or coffee ... and breakfast!

My wife and I arrived at 'The Three Kings' to find it closed as the electricity supply was cut, we had to make a phone call to the owner to come and let us into the accommodation as the host was not on site for our arrival, we were looking forward to having a meal in the bar restaurant but instead had to look elsewhere both evenings. Breakfast was served but unfortunately only cooked (which we thought strange as we were told they didn't have electricity) We would normally have had continental breakfast for example cereal, yoghurt, or toast. We asked the assistant how long the power had been off and were told a week, which was rather annoying as we had only booked the accommodation a couple of days earlier, had they told us at the time there was no power we would not have booked this accommodation. So all in all not a very nice experience...

The room itself was really nice, clean and great amenities. I was a bit disappointment that no notification had been given for the pub itself being closed, especially for the England game. However breakfast was still served the next day, I spoke to the owner and found out about an electrical issue in the pub so that made sense. I am about to book for another night soon, so I would definitely recommend staying here.

Arrived to find the place locked up and had to make a phone call for someone to come to the pub to give us our room key. Apparently there was a problem of having no electricity due to the heat. No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable.

My wife and I booked the 3 Kings at Fornham All Saints near Bury St Edmunds for our wedding anniversary, as it was near Fuller’s Mill Gardens and they also served evening meals and had a bar, so we didn’t have to worry abut drink driving.
On arrival we were informed that they no longer served evening meals, which now ment we had to search the internet for places to eat. The next day we had breakfast then went to the Fuller’s Mill Gardens. When we arrived back there was a note on the doors stating “We are sorry but due to electrical issues the pub is closed” and a contract number. We walked around the pub and the blinds were closed and no lights on, but all the external guest rooms units had power? More guests arrived and couldn’t book in, so they ring the contact number numerous times and left messages, but no answer, till they got annoyed, then someone arrived and let them in.
In the morning the electrical issue sign were still there, so I walk around to the front, the blinds were still down but I could see someone inside who came to the door and informed me they were serving a cooked breakfast?
We were informed the restaurant and the pub were now permanently closed, but they were still using the external letting rooms and serving a cooked breakfast.
We had book a 3 nights stay, but as they no longer served evening meal and drinks they were no longer for filling their part of the contract, we left after 2 nights.
We contacted Hotels.com, but they couldn't' help!

It would be easy to mention a few negatives....but I'm not going to as staff dealt with these rather well. Huge praise for the young lady (Bob) who appears to single-handedly run the bar, restaurant, & hotel reservations. Food was very good, so compliments to the chef. We would certainly return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Three Kings pub, excellent accommodation, lovely staff. We had a problem on our second morning there as the pub was all locked up at breakfast time and no staff around. Sorted later that day and we were refunded for our missing breakfast
