The hotel is good location at city center and convenient with Helsinki city. Employee are kind as well.

The management of this stylish and elegant hotel has lost sight of their industry, which is HOSPITALITY. When we arrived late, tired and hungry after a long walk from the train station with our luggage, the desk clerk had few ideas of where we might dine and gave us a hard upsell for a bigger room with a Nespresso coffeemaker for an additional 30 euros a night, which we declined since 30 euros pays for a lot of nice coffees and pastries at some very elegant cafes. He also pressed us to sign up for the Strawberry loyalty program, which I regretted almost immediately since he required all kinds pf personal information—passport number, phone, dob, etc. When we returned from dinner around 2 hours later, I told the new desk clerk I’d changed my mind and asked for my form back and for my data to be deleted. He seemed annoyed and said he couldn’t do that because the form was locked up but that someone would do it tomorrow. No one followed up with me, and on returning home I received an email from Strawberry about how great it is that I signed up for the loyalty program. Crummy service like this is unacceptable from a hotel that markets and charges as luxury. And the coffeemaker? Nespresso should be in every room and if you don’t think you’re making enough profit, just increase all your rates by 5 euros a night. Providing crummy instant coffee in the not quite as extremely expensive rooms,like ours, is tacky and unworthy of this extremely expensive hotel.

Great, clean, and centrally located hotel in the Design District! The neighborhood is fantastic, with really great restaurants and shopping nearby. The breakfast is excellent, and parking is conveniently close by. The only issue was that the carpet in both the lobby and the room needed a deep clean. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel!

The breakfast was excellent and the staff for breakfast was so accommodating. Had some good gluten free options. Easy walking to everything and many fine restaurants nearby. Large room made it all even better.

The room was wonderful. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed with all our needs considered. Loved it!

My stay didn’t start great as the man who checked me in gave me very vague and unhelpful instructions to get to my room which included stairs with a heavy suitcase and no assistance. Other staff I spoke to after both at reception and the courtyard bar were very kind and helpful Lovely room, very big, beautifully decorated, big bathroom and very comfy bed. The entrance door to the corridor slammed so hard my bed vibrated waking me up several times during the nights including 3am when I had a 5am wake up. Paid extra for a king bed room however it was just 2 single mattresses put together but with no topper on so I couldn’t sleep in the middle so effectively had a single bed, which would have been a lot cheaper. Couldn’t even provide a double duvet WiFi was very weak, only connected by the room door but dropped out by the bed A generally pleasant stay but was expecting a little more finesse for the price

Love their breakfast buffet! It’s huge and a fantastic variety, you can stay there for a week and have something different every morning. Great courtyard Bar and Lounge when the wry is sunny. Location is right in old town, walking distance to many attractions. Unique property as this was the old Police Station before the huge renovation. This is my second time staying and I highly recommend this hotel.
