The location of the hotel is very good for exploring the Tain L'Hermitage region just across the bridge on the other side of the Rhone. From here you can walk around the hill of Hermitage and visit the wineries.
The hotel is in a grand building, stylistically refurbished and has a fantastic view from the outdoor swimming pool. The staff are young, enthusiastic and professional and the host was excellent in making suggestions for local restaurants and wine shops.
I would recommend this hotel.

Et virkelig vidunderligt hotel med en meget venlig og hjemlig atmosfære. Værelserne er virkelig flotte og poolområdet er helt fantastik med udsigt direkte til nogle af Rhones bedste vinmarker. Vinkortet i den hyggelige Bar Le Gabriel afspejler udsigten og rigtig flot med fokus på området bedste vine men også virkelig gode vine fra Bourgogne mv.
Slutteligt er personalet og ejeren virkelig søde og hjælpsomme, så her vil vi gerne komme tilbage.
Selvom hotellet ikke tilbyder parkering er der en offentlig parkeringskælder en kort gåafstand og man kan læsse bagage af ved hotellet.

Ej prisvärd vistelse. Obefintlig parkering. Rummet kändes inte färdigmöblerat. Fanns ingenstans att hänga ytterkläder, inga krokar, obefintlig garderob.

In the heart of the Saint-Joseph and Hermitage Wine regions, this is a little gem of a hotel. Ideally situated for exploring this wonderful region of France. Very friendly staff, comfortable and modern rooms in a lovely old building in the centre of the town. Very good breakfast. All in all, everything was excellent. We shall return

Værelset var for dårligt til prisen 2800 kr.
et automatisk lys tændte for fuldt blus når man rejste sig op om natten. Toiletdøren havde automatisk lukning og lukke med et brag, kunne ikke stå åben. Der var ingen minibar. Værelset kunne have bedre restaureret, man ville ikke lægge noget ind i skabet.
Personalet var venligt og imødekommende. Og der var pænt rent.

Joli établissement dans une demeure ancienne de caractère mais rapport qualité / prix pas satisfaisant. Nous avons payé 217 € la chambre. Il n’y avait pas de plateau de courtoise, la chambre bien qu’assez spacieuse était sous le toit, avec des petites ouvertures. Attention à la tête si vous mesurez plus d’1m80. Décoration générale trop épurée voir pas terminée par endroits.
