We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel located near Gare du Lyon.
Many great places to eat around the property but its own Italian restaurant was packed with locals and had great Italian selection.

Bakery shops very close along with Turkish kabobs shop.

This hotel is so convenient to the Gare de Lyon that it may be forgiven for being a little in need of updating. That said, the old fashioned fittings and fixtures have a certain Parisian charm, and everything was clean and functioning. Also, the bed was very comfortable. What else could you want in this price bracket?

Perfect overnight stop before an early Eurostar connection. Breakfast started at 5.30 so we could board the train without having to decide what and where to buy. Spacious by parisian standards!!!

We chose this hotel based on its proximity to the train station, which was very good. We were pleasantly surprised by the desk staff, as opposed to the other hotels we stayed in. Very friendly and helpful, especially Celia. She was delightful. The room was larger than a shoebox. Bed and bedding was very comfortable, slept well. Towels were fluffy and clean, water pressure was excellent. Some street noise but not too much to interfere with our sleep. Many restaurants, cafes right outside the door. Walkable to many sights such as Notre Dame and the metro stations. Would highly recommend.

We chose this hotel simply for the history - it was a famous stop on Europe’s early rail line and my husband loves trains. The hotel met his expectation and was definitly the perfect piece of nostalgia for him. It was also just across from the rail station on which we both arrived and departed, so even better!
Our train was late but there were no problems with our midnight arrival.
It is an older hotel, and it feels like an old hotel which, if you’re into that vibe, is exceedingly charming. We are and we loved it!
