This hotel has a different name in the GPS Corfu Maris Bellos with really bad reviews I guess they change the name. 1. Make sure you get the right room with the ocean view because this hotel doesn’t show real pictures for standard rooms at the website even if it says ocean view you only get half ocean view 2. You have air conditioning in your room, the lobby and other areas doesn’t and it’s pretty hot 3. The beach is not for swimming it’s full of seaweeds, rocks and smells 4. The pool is big and nice with food and drinks services 5. Don’t waste your money with the half board. I paid for 3 days and I only used one day. You only get water and orange juice, the fruits are the same from breakfast and the food is small variety 6. The shower is so small that the curtain sticks in your body kind feels gross 7. The receptionist woman with black hair has a horrible attitude 8. Servers at the restaurant and pool are nice

The Alysium Hotel had a nice relaxed atmosphere and is a small hotel which I prefer. The staff were nice and friendly. We didn't receive any bathrobes even after we asked for them. The private beach isn't sandy it is a pebble beach as are all the beaches in the area. Also the sea the Hotel overlooks isn't blue it's a grayish colour. The pool area was nice with very comfortable sun beds and you can order snacks and drinks from the Pool bar. My only regret is that I didn't go to the part of Corfu which has the sandy beaches. I was glad I didn't go half board as this includes a set buffet 3 course meal which I wasn't too impressed with, I preferred the A La Carte menu which is served at the Bar where you can choose your own food which tasted much nicer and also sit outside. You have to catch a bus to Benitses Town which is about half a mile away from the Hotel for a Taverna or to buy any supplies you might need as there are no shops close by. I would recommend the Boat Tour to Paxos and Anti Paxos and Corfu Town is really nice and very old worldly.
