I had a wonderful stay at Sofia's Hotel. It's incredibly convenient, located just a 10-minute walk from the airport. You can also take Bus #6 for only €1–2, which drops you off very close to the hotel. I chose to walk, and it was an easy, pleasant walk.
The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions. The hotel has a nice pool and an on-site restaurant, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.
The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, and the price was excellent for an overnight stay. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient hotel near the airport, I highly recommend Sofia's Hotel.
This was a nice hotel and reasonably priced. I stayed here for four days with my 14 year old son. We travelled over from Ireland. It had a 24 hour reception and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also 24 hour access to a computer and printer. And it also has a bar. They make food sometimes. I tried twice but they weren't making food when I asked. Though you can get food delivered to the hotel with E Food app. The pool isn't that big, but it's still nice. You can only get into the pool from 10am until 7pm. They seem strict on the 10am part, but we stayed in after 7pm without any problems. My main issue was the breakfast isn't that great in my opinion. It could also do with more fruit. It's quite close to Heraklion airport and you do hear a lot of planes and you can actually see them overhead from the pool. I actually read this before I booked our trip. The planes do get less frequent as the night comes. Tbh, it didn't affect our sleep and I would still stay here again if I ever go back.
