Impressive hotel at the top of the Reykjanes peninsula, only 15mins from the Keflavík airport, in a small village (Bardur). The ambiance is sort of ski lodge/ fisherman-esque, yet the rooms are up to international standards with everything you need, including a mini fridge, TV, desk, etc, and are very, very well maintained. The restaurant is quite good actually and the view from the windows is awesome (from a ocean coast point of view). From within a 45mins driving distance, you can visit quite a few sights from the peninsula. If you’re looking for a nice hotel near your Keflavík flight or to explore the peninsula, I think you can’t go wrong and will be pleased.

Impressive hotel at the top of the Reykjanes peninsula, only 15mins from the Keflavík airport, in a small village (Bardur). The ambiance is sort of ski lodge/ fisherman-esque, yet the rooms are up to international standards with everything you need, including a mini fridge, TV, desk, etc, and are very, very well maintained. The restaurant is quite good actually and the view from the windows is awesome (from a ocean coast point of view). From within a 45mins driving distance, you can visit quite a few sights from the peninsula. If you’re looking for a nice hotel near your Keflavík flight or to explore the peninsula, I think you can’t go wrong and will be pleased.

Lighthouse Inn was our final night in Iceland just before catching our flight back. It is very convenient to end the trip here as the airport is only about 15 minutes away. It’s perfect to spend the lasts night to relax and enjoy the quiet point. The lighthouse is a nice and pleasant walk from the hotel. The best part of the stay was they have a pool table and the dinner from the newly opened Brim Bistro was 10/10! We were so happy to have the chance to enjoy such an amazing last meal before coming back home.

Wir sind nachts auf Island gelandet und dann direkt ins Hotel (ca. 15 Minuten vom Flughafen). Die Rezeption war besetzt, das Zimmer groß, modern und sauber. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, für alle etwas da.

From the minute we walked in we were treated with a great attitude and a very helpful staff. The room was neat and warm. There was a restaurant in the building with a great staff that was different business. It also was outstanding try their baked brie.

The family room was perfect for the 4 of us! The hosts were all so helpful and had great senses of humor, we really felt welcome. The breakfast was quaint, the warm bread and fresh fruit delicious. The hotel was fully booked but we didn’t hear our neighbors. It was just a short drive to the airport after a very calm and peaceful stay.

Aucun reproche à faire à ce bel hôtel si ce n'est que le petit-déjeuner est trop tard le matin à 7h30 étant donné qu'il est à côté de l'aéroport et que bon nombre de vols nous oblige à ne pas pouvoir prendre le petit-déjeuner tout comme pour ceux qui travaillent...

Excellent spot for a quick stop over. Everything you need and much more affordable than Reykjavik. We took breakfast to go since we had an early flight. They even accommodated my celiac mother with a gluten-free sandwich.

Hotel room was spacious and we had a nice view of the lighthouse from our room! Our flight the next morning was early, so they packed a breakfast for us which I thought was really nice. The one bad thing was the shower floor had spots of black. Not sure if it was mold, but I had to wear flip flops just incase.
