The Aparthotel Colombo Roma.
This was a little further out of the city than I had thought, and not the easiest of things to find.
On a main road between a row of shops and apartments there is a security gate through that and down an ally you find this hotel, very trendy, warm and welcoming.
Staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast was between 7-10 each day i never used this as i was out early.
The room was very clean with a kitchenette with a fridge combi microwave and a dishwasher yet no pots! The transport network is good lots of busses outside the hotel the 160 and L70 both go close to the Colosseum and Trevi fountain.
The Garbatella Metro station is about 10 minutes walk basicly turn left out of the hotel walk down to the traffic lights and turn left again just follow that road all the way to the motorway bridge and the station is on the left.
I paid €22 for a 72 hr pass on all public transport Metro, Bus and Trams.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was a good base.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were very professional, friendly, accommodating, and helpful—they even allowed us to check in before 3 PM, which we really appreciated.
The hotel itself is modern, and the room was very spacious, clean, and well maintained. It felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
There were a couple of minor downsides. The walls seemed a bit thin, as we could hear other guests talking in their room. Our room was on the first floor, and the internet was slow and would often disconnect.
In terms of location, it’s not right in the city center, but there is a bus stop close to the hotel, making it easy to get to the city center and historical sites.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was great, the pictures do it justice. The room was very clean. But you do have to put your entry card in the slot by the door for the lights to be activated. The shower was wonderful, but the floor of the shower was Very slippery. Someone could fall and have a serious injury. I opened the window, so I do not know about the air-conditioner. The bidet was amazing. Shower fresh clean everytime! The breakfast was wonderful. They had everything, and cake seems to be big in Rome for breakfast and it was great. The maid answered many questions for me, she was wonderful. The front staff was amazing and ready for Americans with bus routes and ways to get around. Glad I found this hotel.

We had the standard room. Clean room but the curtains need changing and net just looks tired. But everything was clean and enough space and clean toilet. My only suggestion would be provide TV menu and allow people to use Netflix. Also inform about 2-pin plugs. Having said that, the reception desk provided us with their 2 pin plug to use - very kind.

Showers flooded our first room poorly designed showers that don't drain properly doors didn’t close flooded the bathroom. Body wash was almost empty in our second room since we had to leave the first room. Bed in the first room very hard basically a box spring. They did accommodate us to a new room but same issue with the shower. My recommendation would be to have maintenance install properly equipped showers that don't leak water because it’s dangerous to have water leak with electronics or if someone falls. Every hotel must have body wash that is filled all the way up. Also have shampoo and conditioner too and lotion. Having previously worked in a hotel myself it wasn’t designed very well. Staff were nice though and it wasn’t really much they could do and it wasn’t their fault.

Very nice room with space to move around. Super clean! The staff was really helpful & kind too. It was right near the bus route which is how we ended up getting all around Rome once we figured it out, which was not hard.

Excelente servicio, lugar y ubicación, cerca de paradas de autobuses y metro, aunque si hay que caminar algo para llegar a la estación. De metro, vale la pena, a 18 min del coliseo en carro. Pero mejor aún fue el servicio de lobby, muy amable el chavo que trabaja ahí h habla español

Det kom ett störande visslande ljud från AC:n varannan minut i båda rummen vi bodde i, så när vi listat ut var ljudet kom ifrån stängde vi av den. Men det hade varit jobbigt om det varit varmare väder. De borde investera i möbeltassar då det hördes rakt igenom golven när folk flyttade möbler (vilket de av någon anledning gjorde ofta och sent vår första natt – så mycket att vi behövde byta rum efter första natten). Även i andra rummet hördes det. Det fanns bara duschgel i första rummet och inget schampo. Vi frågade om schampo men de hade bara duschgel. Har inte varit med om att det saknats schampo på andra hotell. Receptionen var hjälpsam, inte minst Nicolas var väldigt tillmötesgående med rumsbytet. Det går att ta sig till stan på ca 15 minuter med buss, men hade jag haft bättre koll på Rom hade jag bokat något närmare centrum då hotellet låg ganska avsides från våra planerade besöksmål. Det var också flera övergivna hus strax intill hotellet. Är du i staden på ett intensivt turistbesök och planerar att promenera eller åka kommunalt så skulle jag rekommendera att boka något mer centralt. Skönt med kyl och micro på rummet. Snålt portionerat med te, färre än antalet nätter. Bara vattenkokare och ingen espressomaskin på rummet, vilket jag förväntat mig utifrån bilderna (en detalj, inte så viktigt). Hotellet i sig var annars väldigt fräscht. Vi testade inte frukosten så jag kan inte uttala mig om den. Smidigt att man kunde tvätta och torktumla mot en avgift på någon €.
