The hotel does NOT look like the pictures. The hotel is not well maintained, it needs a major facelift. The rooms are tiny, the pool area is not the nicest, the balcony is small and every time you open the sliding door, the air conditioner shuts off. This to me was not a hotel, more like Airbnb, other than breakfast (which was the same everyday), there was no where to have a drink, get water... if they give you bottles of water for your room you have to pay for it. Overall the location was great, it was good to have a pool but it definitely does not look like the pictures.

The staff here are friendly and helpful! The location is tough since parking is not available for those driving to the hotel. I had to hire someone they recommended to take my car to park away. It was a pretty easy process but after he picked up the car, I had to lug big luggages to the hotel on the street for 2 minutes. Not too bad. The room is very small and nothing fancy but mostly clean. The breakfast is not the best Italy had to offer, a bit below what you get at a Hampton Inn free breakfast in my opinion, The location is good as you're in the center of town and can walk to all the main streets and the square and such very quickly. Overall I would stay here again.

A fabulous hotel in an amazing setting.

Lovely hotel and well located. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Pity that the poolside bar wasn’t open during our stay nor was the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Would happily go back. Taormina is beautiful whilst slightly expensive.

The staff was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful anytime we needed anything, which was quite a few times. The property is clean, beds are comfortable, the location is very central, but the rooms were never noisy. Although we didn’t use it, the rooftop deck and pool area was pretty and clean. The breakfast area and courtyard were well maintained and pretty. Two small critiques: there were no towel racks in our room, which made it difficult to hang towels; the AC would switch off if you opened the balcony door, and to get it back on you had to ask a staff member.

The hotel was in a perfect location and had everything we needed to make our stay great. The staff, specifically Chicho and Danielo, were so welcoming and helpful. The rooftop is gorgeous, nice continental breakfast, and just such a great place. Highly recommend!

Fantastic staff, fantastic location

I loved the location by all the restaurants and close to sweet spots for a tremendous view. The room was very comfortable, as well as the rooftop with small dip pool was great spot to relax. The shower I had wasn't my favorite tho. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly! Thank you!

The hotel is located on level above Corso Umberto nearly impossible to access for vehicles but valet service was excellent. Many steps to get down to and up from Corso Umberto tough going. Rooms are small with limited storage. We did have some flooding from the bathroom above due to occupant not facility and staff responded well.

Great thing: Location, Location & Location. That was by far the best thing about this hotel. It is steps away from the Main Street with all the shops, restaurants, bars and great views! 10+ Good things: Bed, Breakfast, Very friendly front desk, Pool on the top floor. Helpful front desk who also arranged for private car to the airport with perfect service. OK things: Cleanliness of the room, even though bathroom and shower are needs a lot of real cleaning. Terrible thing: Damn A/C in our room made horrible noise every few minutes, which made sleeping real challenging for 4 nights. We reported it every day, but the maintenance either did not know how to fix it, or they just did not care. The damn A/C needs to be changed, period. It will be a nightmare during the hot days and nights. FANTASTIC LOCATION FOR SURE!!!

Location good but beware of steps if you have mobility issues.No handrails in hotel.On arrival we were given wrong room which was not hotels fault, but staff were able to rectify some of the problems. Room was clean,but limited storage for a weeks stay.No bar,pool area disappointing.Breakfast average,little variation.Overall hotel needs refreshing and money spent to upgrade rooms and facilities.The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff who were very helpful and friendly.

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse på hotellet. Rent, fräscht och modernt boende. Frukosten var perfekt och det fanns många olika alternativ allt från bacon, äggröra, yoghurt till bakverk, bröd och diverse pålägg. Personalen var otroligt vänlig och hjälpsam. Boendet ligger helt perfekt vid huvudgatan. Härlig takterrass med pool med en otrolig utsikt.

Overall the hotel was okay. Room is small. Bed was fine. Location is very good if you can handle the steps to main street. If you have a car make sure you park it in front of the NH Hotel the street above the property. You'll need to go to front desk, tell the clerk you want to valet. They will then call the valet any you'll need to walk back up to the NH Hotel where the valet will meet you. You'll need to pay him twenty euros per day upfront. My biggest problem was the breakfast- pretty terrible. I didnt think it possible to get a bad cup of coffee in Italy but it is. Their machine needs to go. The cappucino is completely undrinkable. Scrambled eggs were cold. Croissants were very poor quality. And they insist on turning on the TV which is really annoying. No one in the room wanted it on. Front desk staff was helpful.

Il Piccolo Giardino is an excellent, and affordable alternative to high end Luxury Hotels of Taormina. We enjoyed our honeymoon stay immensely. Giusy and the other attendants were affable and accomodating, giving directions, suggestions, calling taxis, etc with equal parts warmth, discretion, and good humor. The small but convient rooftop pool gave us a nice riposo with stunning views of the bay and the ancient Greek theatre. The location allows immediate access to area shops, cafes, restaurants and taverns and its proximity to the main street from the alleyway gives you the feel of being in the heart of the town; from our open window we heard plenty of Tarantella music, ballad singers, and plenty of loud, jovial, Sicilian conversation. Property also offers an abundant breakfast with selections both American favorites like bacaon and eggs and italian coffee and pastry. Overall, Il Piccolo Giardino makes Taormina approachable to the everyday person. Highly recomended! Ciao, ciao!

Overall, our stay was a bit disappointing, especially considering the price. The hotel photos online did not fully reflect the actual condition of the property. Upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was appreciated, but the room itself still felt quite small and somewhat outdated. The bathroom was also very compact and could have been cleaner, as we noticed hairs in several areas. This was our biggest splurge during our Sicily trip, and while we understand that you are paying for the prime central Taormina location, we didn’t feel the room quality matched the cost. At over $300CAD per night, we expected a more comfortable and updated experience. The rooftop pool area was another letdown, as it appeared much larger and more inviting in the photos. In reality, the pool was quite small and not as clean or relaxing as we had hoped. Breakfast was fairly basic, though we do want to mention that the older gentleman working at the breakfast buffet was extremely kind and welcoming throughout our stay. In the end, the location is definitely the hotel’s strongest feature, but overall we definitely didn’t feel the experience justified the price and felt a bit scammed.
