掬水

A very peaceful stay near the shrine in Fujinomiya. It was nice to have a genuine tatami room sleep. If you are a big party this could be a really great place to book all rooms. If you have accessible needs, I will say there are a number of non-uniform stair cases, unexpected changes and dropoffs throughout, but in my opinion this is to be expected in an old building like this. If the accessibility notes aren’t a concern I would recommend this place to get a taste of quiet and more traditional Japan.

Las vistas al bosque de bambú son excelentes, el dormitorio era muy amplio y limpio, el baño era increíble. Tiene un patio para cenar y es muy silencioso.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Unterkunft an bester Lage. Der Ausblick in die Natur ist unschlagbar.

入館したとたんビックリしました。 広い玄関と廊下。１家族6人でしたが、予約していた浅間の間は、大正時代の広~い素敵さ。 真ん中にドアがあり、離れた寝室。2家族でも利用しやすい、と思いました。 貴重な体験ありがとうございました。

The check-in process was easier than I thought. The staff was extremely kind when I called them on the phone. I really appreciate it. As for the hotel itself, it wasn't a five star hotel, but the traditional Japanese side of it was a good experience. There are also many restaurants and shops around. A big and beautiful park with a pond and a small river is right next to the hotel, so it was fun.

No pajamas were provided.

浅間の間 快適に過ごせた

An idyllic classic space with tatami mat floors and traditional layout rooms with modern effects. This place was amazing and made up for our short stay where it was cloudy the entire time so we didn’t see Mt Fujis peak. Walkable to the World Heritage site museum and was the beautiful ending to our vacation. Away from the cities, it was a quaint and ultra clean space. The a/c saved us in the hot and humid summer. We will come back for sure! Pictures are representative of the space. Calm stream and river next to the temple was truly a way to decompress and see the natural beauty of Japan!

No information on website that all rooms are not wheelchair accessible and have STAIRS! We have big luggages so need to solve problems of getting on stairs. No staff at the place and no CCTV in risk zones, that i wonder it is quite dangerous in case other guests does not lock the house, or have intention to do crime to other guests who share the same house. Good points are free self-service laundry and dryer, the classic ancient style of Japanese house sharing 4-5 rooms of stay.

Staff was really friendly and it’s gorgeous place.
