ABN Hostel

Sobrang panget na sobrang baho pa.

Quite lacking some basic necessities like soap and trashcan, but the staff are nice. Room has no working internet and TV and is a dead spot for cellular signal.

Sheets, blankets, and pillow cases are made of gabardine fabric which is very rough and hot. So even if the ac is up, the skin that contacts with the fabric is sweating. And I barely got sleep out of the other occupants from the other rooms who kept going in and out the whole night banging their doors. I think they should put some rubbers on the doors so when they close it doesn't create irritating sounds.

The place is not what I expected. The room is very small and the area is not that bright. But the staff are nice and friendly.

For its price you cant really expect more from the place. The only advantage is it’s a few blocks away from the restaurants. Drainage from the shower area was clogged. The receptionist was hesitant to take keep our luggage upon check out, suggested that we book another night and put our stuff inside the room instead, which doesn't make sense at all.

The location is not correct, you have to go inside the street beyond Shakeys pizza to get here. Also, it was too far from the public plaza, the staff told us we can actually just walk to get to the plaza but it was too far. Also, when we got there and about to check-in, we were surprised to see a whole family using our room right before we check-in. They are actually related to the staff. We only stayed until 12am as we need to travel back to Dumaguete but still our stay was not so good. The room is big enough though but the bed is not that comfy. Rating: 5/10

Good value for money. Clean place and super friendly staffs. Their address is very misleading though, as it is a block and a half from corner Lacson St. as stated. It's confusing, but the hostel itself is ok.
