Columbus Inn

It was a good stay for El Nido. Liked the cleanliness of the room, though there hasn't been any room service during my stay (4 days). The place itself is just at the direct street to El Nido in Corong-Corong, but the house is up the hill and the rooms have a beautiful view over the bay from the balcony - stunning sunsets included. This makes up for the 10 minute tricycle ride to the center (appr. 30-50 pesos each drive, though the drivers would always try to charge you more ;-) The breakfast was great, always prepared just in time, before you would leave for any tours. Also the coffee appears magically in front of your rooms at 7am in a thermos jug - extra points for this service! In the nights, the staff has not always been available, but they would always be attentive in the daytime. I would suggest to stock the rooms with a little lamp for the evenings, it would make the rooms much more comfy in the nights, instead of switching on the big lights. The Wifi-Connection was sad - but this is probably a problem in all El Nido. Just in the nights and very early mornings a slow connection was possible. Still a place you would enjoy, a reasonable price for a decent room!
