Great location.

If you are looking to sleep then this isn’t the place. Bar downstairs is loud beyond belief and the road noise feels like your sleeping in the middle of the road. If you’re looking to have fun with your mates and party then it’s perfect. We would not stay here again.

The Dunvegan Hotel is a great place to stay and served as my base for my 6 golf round trip and one week stay in St. Andrews. The room had everything I needed and the location was perfect near everything happening in the town of St. Andrews and of course, the Old Course, where I had the privilege of playing there. Breakfast was great and I was greeting upon arrival by Luke, the manager, who helped me bring my bags to my room. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again, for sure.

Lovely staff, excellent pub downstairs- and amazingly the rooms above were quiet! Room was a bit tired and the carpet was weirdly slippery but bathrooms were new. Needed some storage or shelving in the bathroom. Expensive but I guess that’s St Andrews for you.

The rooms were beautiful and the beds were soft. Great service and perfect location. A st Andrew’s classic.

This place is amazing. Such an iconic venue. Rooms are lovely, food/drink are lovely, staff are lovely. Honestly so impressed with how they look after you. Staying here really complimented a perfect trip.

Old style small hotel with great golfing history and has the most famous 19th hole in the world. Our room was decent as was the breakfast and it offered good value for what we paid

Ideally situated to enjoy the area. Staff excellent , my wife left a dress behind when checking out and they posted to our address at no cost.

This is the absolute best place to stay in St Andrews! Clean, comfortable, warm room. Modern bathroom. Very friendly staff. Delicious and large breakfast. Cheerful and homey place to return each night. We can't wait to return!

The Dunvegan is absolutely enchanting and is perfectly located for visiting your University of St. Andrews student (MacIntosh Hall, the first year dorm, is right across the street.) The staff was so friendly and accommodating that we left feeling like family. Breakfast was cooked to order and the few number of rooms in the hotel made it a relaxing experience. A few things to remember if you are visiting from the US are that it is in the middle of town in an old building so there is no on-site parking. It's better to rely on public transportation rather than a rental car. Also, the bottom floor is a very popular pub so, in the evenings, you are part of the action. If you are a go-to-bed-early kind of traveler, you may find the atmosphere a little noisy until 10:30 p.m. But that is a large part of the charm of the place too.
