Staff were very proficient, courteous and helpful.
Room was not huge, though perfectly suited for a short stay and together with the bathroom was well appointed, equipped, decorated and maintained. Great amenities provided - maybe more than one coffee pod and milk carton would be good.
Only minor point, but a USB Charging port in place of one of the sockets would be useful.
The hotel is perfectly situated for access to the old quarter and the rest is walkable.
Heartily recommended.

We spent 3 days in Barcelona the Hotel California. It was a little hard to locate at first but we found it was so convenient to the Ramblas, the Boqueria, even the metro. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very helpful and personable. We are going back again this year and bringing friends and family.

Excelente localização. Dá para fazer muita coisa à pé. Muito próximo à estação Liceu do Metrô. Café da manhã excelente por um preço justo. Quarto relativamente pequeno, mas com banheiro muito bom. Foi a segunda vez que me hospedei no hotel e certamente será uma opção quando voltar a Barcelona.

Didn’t realize entrance was on in an alley off the Plaça Real. Taxi could only get us so close. Breakfast was good. Room smaller than expected. Close to shopping.
