good points: very good scenery. bad points: (1) at least 20-30minute drive from ella, requiring the use of hotel staff tuk-tuk. if wanting to get away and relax, its great, but if wanting to sightsee, its a problem. (2) staff not upfront with cost of items. i was only told at end of trip what the cost of each meal and travel was. this was compounded by the hotel manager insisting that he take me to a small tea factory that i repeatedly stated that i did not want to attend; the cost of this journey was included in the final bill. the actual cost was not significant, but costs should have been stated beforehand, ideally at check-in, as is usually the case.

Lå langt oppe i bjergene ca 9 km. Tuk tuk fra stedet ca 1500 rupies i alt frem og tilbage. Det var ok fantastisk udsigt ,men hvis vejret er dårligt som her. Øv øv

This is one of the BEST locations I've experienced as this Cool Mount Resort is located in a breathtaking lone mountain top and in the middle of a beautiful tea state which offers a mind-blowing 360° view of glorious Elle surroundings. The facility itself is OK, but they have lot to improve there. Food is good and the staff is pleasing, specially the chef Andrew, who is ever so friendly. It is not however easy to get there as the road is so narrow and rough but it is worth the pain and patience as to what is waiting to grace you up there...

Friendly staff and easy location to Kandy station / city centre. Well stocked bar and restaurant which was useful as things tend to shut early in Kandy/ not much choice.
