Arrived very late and staff waited for me

Very nice stay excellent accommodation and restaurant

Fabulous hotel professional staff and delicious food at the restaurant , an easy Tuk Tuk ride to anywhere you want to go

This was the first hotel that had an odour of unclean/unwashed bedding and didn’t feel fresh. I would say you get what you pay for but other hotels at the same price did feel clean. The staff were lovely and did let us check in early after a long flight. Sadly for the bedding we cancelled our future reservation as we were going to stay on our return leg.

It's rightly prices as this is not a relaxing venue. Can't complain because the price is pretty low despite being located in the heart of the city. That goes to say the noise from vehicles will keep you awake at night and wake you u before the alarm. And they definitely need to replace towels as the ones provided are very old. And the definitely have to clean up the balcony as it seems like it had never been cleaned.

Breakfast can be better and more international flavours.

A relatively small hotel that still maintains it's heritage. Staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. The area around the hotel has seen better days but there are plenty of options within walking distance if you are doing the tourist things. The money we saved by staying here was well spent on a fantastic meal at Ministry of Crab!

The hotel Nippon was lovely. One of the old type hotels which has been refurbished. The lounge area was nice, lift was clean,staff helpful. The room was average size bed was comfortable. The view from the window wasnt appealing as it was residential and area not that good. However a 3 minute walk from the hotel took you to beautiful gardens, temples etc.

We arrived to the hotel at about 1030pm, the hotel lost our booking ans our room wasn’t ready till about 1145pm when the cleaning stuff were cleaning the room. The room was ok, we understand the hotel is a beautiful and very old building (137 years old) but small thing could have been don’t to make the room look better, windows were dirty, window blinds didn’t work very well, and towels were ripped. Staff were friendly, food was ok, one morning we had breakfast buffet and the second morning it was menu service. Hotel is places in a good location, close to bars, restaurants shops and other amenities.

The property was within walking distance to both One Galle Face and City Centre. It also has a convenient cafe with quite okay selection of “short eats” for quick snacking. Only drawback was when we requested for house keeping, they did throw out the trash from the main room but left out the one in the toilet. Towels were also not changed as well as the daily toiletries supply though we didn’t need them but it’s standard hotel practice unless I missed out on the request when needed fine line print. Over all an okay stay.

Location is good. AC is not working at all call couple of time spend an hour still no luck. Inside is burning. Not plasent stay.

Bra boende för priset. Trevlig och gästvänlig personal som gav oss en hel del tips. Sköna sängar. Eftersom hotellet ligger i en storstad och bredvid en väg kan det låta en del från vägen. Okej frukost.

The staff were very helpful when approached for advice and directions. Breakfast was good. Traffic noise was evident most of the time. Busy street outside. TV worked well. Had trouble with internet access. Could not connect to the secure portal. Staff tried to help but to no avail. Used the unsecured portal but in a limited manner.

The property was almost empty so when we arrived they refused to give early check-in @ 7am but wanted charge if wanted so asked to come back at 11am. When we went at 11, there was no room but the guy at the reception found another room. When we went to the room, surprise!!! The bathrooms were almost see through. When complained and mentioned that we will checkout, room was changed to a lower category.

Great location, right around the corner from the main road. Rooms were comfortable, staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great!

Good hotel, apparently the oldest in Colombo, within short tuk-tuk distance from Colombo train station. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was spacious,with large balcony overlooking the road, and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Nice restaurant with sufficient choice for breakfast and choice of a la carte or bar bites in the evening. The bar bites were particularly good with good sized portions. Decent bar room available too. All staff in the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. Within easy walking distance from Galle Face, Twin Towers, Clock Tower and Pettah. Clean hotel. Though we only stayed 2 nights we'd definitely recommend this hotel for either short or longer stay.

立地は落ち着いた場所で徒歩でもトゥクトゥクでもすぐに移動できる便利なところです。すぐそばに教会、モスク、お寺があり、礼拝など様々な時間で宗教音楽が聞こえてきます。そういう体験が楽しめる方には良いですが、静かに過ごしたい方は嫌うと思われます。アメニティは石鹸・シャンプー・ボディーソープのみ。エアコンはコントロールできなかったです。客室清掃の責任者らしき人がカギを無理やり開けて入ってきたので、普通は大クレームになると思いますが、スリランカスタイルなんだと思えば気にならないという事で我慢。
