The stay at Ivy was alright, room was clean enough, a bit of dust and grime in some areas, but nothing i am that bordered by, although the room was very worn, not like the pictures, lobby was beautiful and the pool was very nice, as well the garden was pretty and a nice spot to chill.
Now while i did not mind my stay at the Ivy, i found it's not with out it's issues, particularly one major one for me was the check in. Hotels.com did not provide me with the proper way to reach the Ivy, so when my flight got delayed and i called the number nobody picked up, i sent a e-mail but still not the proper way, they use an app called Line. I was homeless in Bangkok witouth access to a room i payed for, but i will not hold Ivy accountable for that.
What i will have to complain about is how i was received when i called the number in the guard booth outside to come in contact with management, was met by an extremely rude lady who was not understanding at all and at the same time made me belive i would get help, then hung up on me and never answerd back my calls even though i did as she instructed. The young guard outside tho is a real G, tried his best to help me and even made a wifi-hotspot for me to use to help me resolve my issues.
All in al, when i did get to check in the next day, it was ok. Management there was nice and helpful troughout my stay, the only real issue i had there when i got in was the internet has terrible connection, so if you are dependent on that, keep in mind.
