A very nice centrally located hotel. The bus stop is right outside the door. The bed was comfy. Not the most soft, but not super hard. The pillows were a little too hard for my taste.

We came on a theatre trip, the hotel is very convenient for the west end. Staff friendly and helpful, would stay again.

Great stay, great location. Only minor detail was that it took the staff a long time to start the room cleaning. Orherwise fantastic!

Always have a good stay here, staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, although there were a few small spiders and ants in the bedroom and bathroom. We didn't have breakfast included this time, we felt it was a little bit expensive, the breakfast is usually excellent .

Awesome staff, great location, amazing quality for the price. Was pleasantly surprised at how large a regular room was. Highly recommend, would stay here again.

Great location in Bloomsbury. Room was small but well appointed. For my 11 night stay the small fridge was very useful. Room was quiet, water was hot, no issues at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Bottom line: this is a very old hotel in great need of refreshing. If you stay here and expect that, you'll do OK. The location at Holborn is A+; close to buses, underground, theatres, restaurants, shopping, and more. However (1) the room's carpets were filthy, (2) the toilet only randomly flushed, and the (3( thermostat took forever to work (heat or cold). The bathroom was another A+: great shower and hot water. The staff did their very best, but the age of the hotel eventually 'won out'.

Alles gepasst, außer Frühstück war nicht besonders.

Lovely hotel in great position

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider enttäuschend und entspricht keinesfalls höheren Erwartungen. Im Badezimmer fehlten grundlegende Annehmlichkeiten wie Taschentücher und Bodylotion, was in dieser Preiskategorie eigentlich selbstverständlich sein sollte. Auch die Auswahl beim Tee war äußerst begrenzt – es stand lediglich eine einzige Sorte zur Verfügung, was wenig durchdacht wirkt. Besonders negativ fiel das Zimmer selbst auf: Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging direkt auf eine Mauer, wodurch kaum Tageslicht hereinkam und der Raum insgesamt sehr dunkel wirkte. Zusätzlich wurde die Ruhe durch ein wiederkehrendes Geräusch (Klimaanlage?) aus dem Nachbarraum gestört. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist der unangenehme, künstliche Geruch im gesamten Hotel, der stark an Toilettenduft erinnerte und auf Dauer störend war. Unverständlich ist zudem die Regelung zum Late Check-out: Dieser kann erst nach einem Anruf am Morgen des Abreisetages angefragt werden. Das ist wenig sinnvoll, da der Hauptgrund für einen späten Check-out ja gerade darin besteht, länger ausschlafen zu können – Planungssicherheit sieht anders aus. Insgesamt leider keine Empfehlung. Positiv ist die zentrale Lage hervorzuheben.
