Upon checking in, I was greeted and thought I’d ask about rate price matching since I had booked the hotel in advance and wanted to know what the policy was for price matching. The person I spoke with was rude and not professional. She even smirked at me when I said thank you for the information and said that the only thing I could do was cancel my existing room, be charged for that room and then book a new room. It was clear she was not interested in being hospitable. When I attempted to use my credit card, I had some issues with the pin and tried to use my phone. The person helping me kept telling me I was doing it wrong and I asked her to give me a break. She did not apologize and she did not care. After that check in, I inspected my room. There was blood on the sheets which it’s disgusting and upsetting. I went to speak with the manager on duty who was extremely apologetic and offered us a new room. The manager also supported us in getting a discount on dinner that night. She offered to have a bottle of wine sent to our room for the inconvenience and we agreed to it. We left shortly for our dinner reservations and never received our bottle of wine. For a one night stay at what is supposed to be an excellent hotel, staff should be working a bit harder on their hospitality skills. I spent $450 to be there for one night and it was not worth it. I likely will not return again.
