While the Hotel is older, which is also part of its charm, it is clean and staff are friendly and helpfull.

First room was extremely small and a bit outdated but we were able to upgrade to a suite that was very lovely and way bigger than we expected. It’s an older building but a cool hotel and a good location to explore Halifax from. It was quite pricey for the time we stayed but we had a great time

My wife and I recently stayed at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites in Halifax for two days, and this must have been the friendliest hotel staff that I have ever encountered in my life. Period. Throughout our 48 hours, I found nothing but smiles and kindness from the staff. Period. Here is why this hotel deserves every bit of a 5-star rating: * Spotless & Luxurious: The hotel looks incredibly luxurious, was always tidy, and smells good the moment you walk in. * The Room: Our room was super clean, and housekeeping was absolutely on the spot. * Comforts: They have a decent coffee machine in the room, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Period. * Dining: The on-site restaurant is incredible! Facilities & Amenities The hotel, although it doesn't have amenities, has a YMCA free pass for the guest where you can find the best gym equipment, pool, and etc. Period. It is a fantastic workaround that gives you access to a top-tier fitness facility. World-Class Service Shout-Outs ⁠A very special shout out to the front desk operator, Gustavo, and the concierge, Parris and Folly, for being extremely kind and accommodating. Period. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I would 100% recommend that any guest book this hotel due to its great structure, amazing location, and fantastic staff.

Highly recommended! It's super close to great amenities and parks, and within easy walking distance to the waterfront. It's also very pet-friendly! There is an additional charge for parking, but the stay was entirely worth it. A special thank you to Kamilla for her excellent service and warm welcome. We had a very enjoyable stay

I booked a suite to get ready for my wedding. The room is huge! It was exactly what I needed. The staff are so friendly and helpful !

Beautiful room!!! Great history we stayed in the same room as Kieth Richards! Walking distance to downtown and gardens! Comfortable bed!

The rooms were amazing! Coffee bar was amazing! Even the hotel had an amazing scent. So incredibly kind! They also brought me complimentary water bottles and chocolates multiple times. I will definitely be back!

We booked a suite with free cancellation months in advance which would have been twice the price if we had waited. Very pleased that we did that, particularly as the room was spacious and ideal for our anniversary trip.

This hotel is in a great location, really central to the main attractions of the city. The staff are extremely helpful and efficient. The room was comfortable with a good range of toiletries and a fridge. The bathroom was small but perfectly adequate.

This hotel is right in the heart of downtown, very conveniently located and within walking distance to many attractions. Great food options very close by. Lobby and public areas are spacious and very nicely appointed. Lots of places to sit and relax. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. All in all, a very enjoyable stay! Note that they charge for parking, so if you have a vehicle plan for that.
