Quite near old city center, every sopts is just around, staffs are extremely friendly. The only thing bothering me is the noise in the very early morning from street, hotel prepare ear plug in the room, very friendly.

Convenient, tidy, comfortable and spacious! The staff is so nice and helpful. The breakfast is delicious,too.

The over riding disappointment was the fact that the attractive hotel and courtyard photo on the Hotels.com home page is simply NOT the hotel. In reality, the hotel is in a back street, cramped on all sides. We found it very difficult to find, through the maze of one-way and trams-only streets. In fairness, once in to the hotel, it wasn’t too bad. No kettle in rooms though. Breakfast ok. Reception claimed to have tried to alter the photo on website several times but with no lasting effect. But we would never have booked this type of hotel had we known. We were unable to contact Hotels.com by live chat before check-in, as the 5G signal wasn’t strong enough, and couldn’t use hotel WiFi without first checking in. Touché. Attached photo shows the real building first, and then the alleged building.

Good staff, great breakfast

This is the perfect location for visiting the Black Forest right at the edge of the city of Frieburg (allowing no cars, in case you weren't aware). We stayed for two nights hiking in the area and visiting the Open Air Museum. Frieberg was charming for late afternoon/evening activities. The hotel is not fancy, but perfect for most as it is well maintained, guest oriented and extremely clean. Parking is available for 15e per night. The complimentary simple buffet breakfast provided each morning was a wonderful way to start each day. Service by both the front desk and breakfast staff was friendly, genuine and excellent. Inexpensive laundry service was available with quick turnaround, which was so helpful as we were close to finishing a multi-week trip. Restaurant recommendations provided were thoughtful and perfect for our needs. 5 stars for our visit May 14-16, 2026. Don't wait to book. I booked months in advance and was super glad when I checked weeks later and there was no availability.

Perfect for our short trip. Very centrally located. Nice staff, nice breakfast, nice room & nice price. Great to be able to leave bags after check out & before leaving town as the hotel is small so appreciated not having to carry bags round all day.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos, the area was trashed, graffiti everywhere, the staff was incredibly rude. It was such an inconvenience for one of the receptionist to look up the time for Mass. The other lady was so rude because we asked a question about our room. The hospitality was absolutely trash. So bad we only stayed the first night and left that morning. I will never come back, the worst experience I have had on this entire trip. The city also felt so unsafe, there was no one on the street, just groups of men walking around, the only German’s I met were the hostess at the hotel. This is a trash city and will tell everyone to never visit this hotel or city.
