The hotel had a major revamp in 2010 but that seems to have been its heyday. Shoreline area rather neglected now and its proximity to the noisy main road means it is never tranquil. But inside it is all good and ideal for a brief stay.

Little rundown, needs a lift. Food okay, staff okay. Bed was fab though!

Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff. Lyn, at the front desk helped me with my luggage and even set the tv up for me so I wouldn’t miss the World Cup. Delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had such a wonderful one-night stay at Inn on the Lake! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Our room overlooked the lake, and waking up to that peaceful view was the perfect start to the day. We enjoyed an incredible dinner at the restaurant the evening we arrived, and breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. The Eggs Benedict with the house-made hollandaise sauce was absolutely delicious! One of our favourite moments was taking the complimentary coffee down to the lakeside deck and relaxing in the morning sun. It was so peaceful and made for the perfect end to our little getaway. The Inn itself is beautiful, charming, and impeccably maintained. Every detail made our stay feel special. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend Inn on the Lake to anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside escape!

Room was great! Staff was amazing! Pool looked nice but was too chilly to use, but lounging around it was lovely. Only real “issue” was odd electrical plug placements. Great little plaza two minutes away with Timmie’s and Shoppers. Would definitely recommend.

A one night stop, good restaurant helpful staff. Physically hauling two full size up 5 steps not so great. Probably should have asked for help.

The check in and check out process needs a little tlc, we stayed 3 nights and weren’t told about any of the amenities or rules. Not even pointed to where our room was. The room was dated but clean.

Nice clean hotel about 30 minutes from downtown Halifax. Rooms were clean and comfortable, pool was a welcome amenity on a hot afternoon and the food in the restaurant was excellent! The staff were also friendly (if a little inexperienced) and did their best to be helpful. Overall, a great stay!

Clean, very nicely designed with a great historic charm. Staff were so nice. Pub and the food was so neat and yummy.

The property is old and does not have an elevator so bear that in mind. The room smelt stale so bought an air freshener. No phone in the room to contact the front desk and room cleaning was only if you asked. No food service onsite Monday to Wednesday but did have complementary coffee, tea, muffins and yogurt. Being on a lake was lovely and very convenient to all highways. The Inn has so much potential just needs to be addressed.

I stayed here my last night before going to the airport. What a lovely hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and super helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and it was a great value as well.

Clean and comfortable but starting to show it’s age.

This is an older hotel that is showing is age. Okay for an overnight cheap sleep. Staff were not well versed on surrounding restaurants or amenities.
