Classical good looks and a fabulous location. I expected that meant I’d have to compromise with poor facilities and service- not at all. Ice cold air con and a big modern room

Great location, within 5 minutes walk great shops, restaurants and bars.

We had a lovely stay here. All the staff working here were brilliant. The front desk reception were incredibly friendly and helpful with all our queries, and all the people who helped us at breakfast were friendly and prompt with any requests we had. The room itself was very comfortable, but upgrading to the Executive room wasn't worth the extra money over the Double room, unless you need room for an extra bed or to get dressed. The hotel is very well located, a short walk from loads of great restaurants, bars, and a lovely park across the road. Another niggle was the £12 charge for car parking, for this price, parking should be included. Overall, I would stay here again.

Despite arrogant front desk staff in daytime and a lot of fuss around a promised later check-out - which ended in rude behaviour from frontdesk and ended in me being thrown out before the agreed time, the hotel is very good and maintains high standard.

Very helpfull staff, outside terrace dining was very good and the food at dinner and breakfast was very good as well. One nice youch was the provision of fresh milk in the minibar. Parking seemed expensive but the norm for Cheltenham.

Breakfast very poor both days Closed the outside seating area (30d) and restaurant for a private party,they should think about the people staying in hotel o they did not. Check out,come down stairs to reception you could not move for people and also outside on pavement. + Room was excellent plus the Bar staff was excellent.

Jack at the front desk was simply great. Helpful with every question we asked.

Beautiful room with extremely comfortable bed. Great location near a park with nice views and could not be more centrally location for walkabouts of the city, which is very attractive.

Lovely hotel with so much character and beautiful beer garden

Room only had one towel however room booked for two people. Called reception to request more towels - none came within hour so went out. When returned still no towels so called again. Car parking not included and needed downloading app etc, which wasn’t working. Staff quite rude when asked for help with app. Breakfast selection limited.

Room was nice but lacked the small things like shower cap, comb and even towels! Room phones are OLD and don’t call down to reception which was annoying! No room service except sandwich which is poor. You could but 3 in Tesco for the same price

I have stayed here many times so I know what to expect. It is everything you want a stay away, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when I visit my daughter in Cheltenham.

Great hotel with air conditioning and centrally located.

Absolutely lovely building and room was lovely, stayed in room 216, floor was very squeaky in certain areas and looked like a leak patch in ceiling when you walk in but didn’t put us off. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar staff were excellent as was the very nice lady Phoebe on reception, she was lovely and welcoming , Breakfast was fabulous, had full English, small portions but very tasty, with a wide selection of buffet style breakfasts as well, cereals/ toasts ect. Would definitely stay here again due to its location but personally I think for what I paid it’s probably slightly too much but that could be for many reasons, IE time of year etc.

Apart from one fundamental thing our stay was faultless. The pet-friendly room was large and had plenty of space for a fold-out sofa bed for our daughter. The location is excellent for exploring Cheltenham and Imperial Gardens is beautifully maintained. We loved being able to use the swimming pool at Cheltenham Ladies College too. The downside: the room was unbearably hot and the air conditioning system couldn’t cope. The hotel staff said that the system was struggling with the heat, but frankly, what’s the point of an air conditioning system that only works when it’s not hot..? This meant that the room was basically not fit for purpose. Eventually the staff found a spare tower fan but that didn’t really have any effect.

Everything in this hotel was excellent, we have stayed in many hotels but the Queen's takes a pride in all areas. Our room was very clean but we had a lady tap the door to check everything was good. Never had that before. Excellent staff who are helpful and interest in their customers. Food was excellent, well cooked, using quality ingredients to perfection. As I am vegetarian I would like to see a couple more appropriate dishes on the menu.
