breakfast is great

The hotel is quite old the room window is no sound proof so you can hear the traffic pass during night sleep and during morning. The air conditioning in the room is set for cold so cannot turn to warm so very cold in oct even when you switch off the air conditioning. The shower water is very difficult to control which cold for long time almost when I finish shower turn into warm. In the morning when you want sleep you can hear the housekeeping is cleaning outside. The double bed is two bed put together which not comfortable. Overall is not recommeded is not value for money. I feel is not a very comfortable.

We loved our room and terrace. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The location was spot on in the Gothic area to walk to many great and stores. We would love to return. Grab one of their free Barcelona maps at check in, super helpful.

Top location, very central. Yes, its a bit noisy during the night and also starting early in the morning but thats the price to pay for being centrally located. The staff was extremely nice and the room very spacious with a small balcon.

Traveled with my 5 grand-kids. Perfect location , very helpful stuff, wonderful breakfasts. Wood recommend the hotel to anybody. Definitely will recommend it to my friends.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but absolutely loved my stay. The hotel is modern, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast buffet very good, the staff wonderful, and you can't ask for a better location.

Un séjour d'exception entre confort moderne et histoire romaine ! Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable au Gran Hotel Barcino. Tout était réuni pour une expérience parfaite. Notre chambre, située dans la nouvelle partie de l'hôtel, était spacieuse, moderne et d'un confort absolu. L'emplacement est tout simplement idéal : en plein centre-ville et à deux pas du métro, ce qui facilite grandement l'exploration de la ville. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale : toujours prévenant et attentionné, il a su rendre notre séjour très agréable sans jamais être intrusif. Le petit-déjeuner était un véritable régal, avec un buffet parfait offrant un large choix de produits frais et de qualité (mention spéciale pour la tortilla et les œufs en ramequin !). Mais la cerise sur le gâteau de cet hôtel, c'est son musée intégré. C'est une expérience unique de pouvoir admirer des ruines romaines murs de pierre, jarres antiques) directement au sein de l'établissement. Cela donne une âme incroyable au lieu. Nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

This hotel is right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter. Lots of restaurants and shops all around. Quick walk down 2 blocks to get to La Rambla. Perfect location. The staff were very helpful, as soon as I got out of the cab the staff met me outside to help with my luggage. The lobby is very modern, with ample comfortable seating. The room was very clean, lots of amenities. Working mini fridge in closet. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

The staff was súper helpful, but the unexpected great thing about it was the history of the place tying it to the Roman village of Barcino (the oldest part of Barcelona) with ruins that can be seen below the hotel’s floor. It is also located in the midst of the Gothic Quarter, near the Cathedral. Very, very nice overall.

El Staff, muy amable y serviciales. Buen y varias opciones en el desayuno. Súper recomedable con una excelente ubicación y a tan solo 5 minutos de la playa. Sin duda regresaría, pero ahora con mi familia.
