Let me start with how wonderful the staff is. Such a friendly, helpful group of people! Even as we were walking through the patio, someone would come up and see if we needed a drink or a place to sit, and one server walked us inside to the restaurant when we told her that’s where we were headed.
The dinner was just amazing, and the chef came over to speak with us a few times, and discussed some of the dishes and even offered to make us things that weren’t even on the menu yet. We also had chosen to include breakfast and it was great - the presentation and little details to add texture and flavours were appreciated.
Being dog-friendly was great so I was able to pet some of the other guests’ dogs.
There was corn hole and connect 4 games on the patio, and live music Saturday night, plus you can see the fireworks from there.
We didn’t have time to visit the (indoor) pool, but we walked by it and would have joined the few others enjoying it had time permitted.
The clerk in the little store was also so very friendly.
Yes, parking at the inn is relatively expensive ($40), especially when you can park at the Skylon lot for $15 or at the lot on the side street for $10, but I wanted security cameras so was happy to pay for peace of mind. I think if they charged less then their lot might be overly full. Be aware that some of the parking lot is just gravel, though, and in the rain it was pretty messy.
It was just a fun, great little place to stay.
