The stay experiences this time was very bad, the fire alarm was ON at 5:00 am in the early morning, everyone went out for fire evacuation. After 20 minutes, we went back to the room and the fire alarm kept to ON every 30 minutes until 9am. It was so annoying and really can't sleep from 5am to 9am and I need to check out at 11am on that day. I tried to call front desk to see what happened the fire alarm kept to ON, but no one pick up the call. Very disappeared to stay in this hotel.

Check in was really straightforward and the hotel was clean and modern and well presented Our room was nice and cleaned to a high standard The pool and spa area was nice though the pool was a little cold and maybe the changing rooms could do with more regular checks as they felt a little grubby Really reasonable prices in the bar and a nice atmosphere. Plenty of places to sit had relax. Our room was very hot and this was on one of the cooler days we’ve had recently however there was a fan in the room which helped a little. The bed and pillow and duvet were all comfy. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to others

Hotel check-in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious but I did book a superior room. Lots of hotels and pubs always fail to provide hair conditioners, tissues and face washers. Only a handful do that. Don’t understand how they don’t provide them when it’s such a small cost item. Dinner was nice but had to wait a long time, obviously due to short staffed. I definitely would stay there again.

The room was fine but some areas could be clearer like the bathroom sink area. The gym has not been cleaned in years as the equipment is full of dust and dirty water/sweat marks. Its a shame because these are fairly new and should be maintained. I was put off going to the spa area as I wasn't sure how well that was cleaned. At breakfast, we asked a member of staff to clean the table, he did this by knocking all the crumbs onto the seats instead of using the cloth or his hands to gather the crumbs. We then had to dust off the seats. The staff need more training and also please hire cleaners to give the hotel a deep clean. Overall the garden is lovely and there are plenty of free car parking spaces. The housekeeping attendant was very helpful, providing clean towels etc as we didn't need the room cleaned. The hotel is near Morrisons and a lovely fish and chip shop! Thanks.

The hotel’s atmosphere and location were excellent, making it a comfortable stay. However, I was surprised when checking in to be asked to pay a £50 security deposit against potential damage to the room. If I didn’t have sufficient funds available, this could have created an awkward and potentially embarrassing situation in front of other guests checking in. This requirement was not clearly stated during the booking process; if it is mentioned on the website, it is not prominently displayed. As someone who travels frequently, I have never encountered such a requirement before. While I appreciate that hotels may have different policies, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and somewhat unfairly treated. I was also disappointed that the gym facilities closed earlier than I expected, at around 10:00 pm. After a long journey and dinner, I was looking forward to using the gym, but it was already closed by the time I was ready. In addition, I was dissatisfied with the salmon dinner. The portion was very small appeared almost burnt, with only two very small potatoes served alongside it. I ordered an extra portion of chips to make the meal reasonable, but they were never brought to my table. To make matters worse, the chips were still added to my bill and had to be removed after I raised the issue. Overall, while the hotel itself was excellent and offered a pleasant environment, these issues detracted from what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel was very spacious, lots of cosy, inviting areas to sit and relax as well as the bar. We stayed at the Belfry while visiting family so didn't use the facilities or restaurant but the room was beautiful - tastefully decorated and had everything we needed (including a welcome fan on a hot evening). The bed was comfortable and the hotel quiet and restful even though there was obviously a wedding party staying. The value for money was great. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel , communal spaces are good but bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit tired and could do with upgrading now.

Great service, we arrived very late at night but staff were very helpful and attentive. Lovely facilities and spa, great experience for the price.

Started off well with the check in process and everything going off smoothly. The pool was good, and the staff were friendly. So, the reason I'm giving it two stars? I couldn't sleep. In the middle of a heat wave, I spent the whole night in an unconditioned room, where there wasn't even a fan or means to circulate the air. The window could only open by a measly inch (not sufficient enough to allow any type of "breeze"). Out of an entire evening, I probably slept for about 30 minutes, and woke in a pile of sweat. Had to have a shower multiple times throughout the night just due to heat of the room. The morning came and I couldn't wait to leave, I swear going outside (in the sun) was actually cooler than the room- at least I got a breeze. The lack of sleep and desperation to leave probably hasn't helped me have the most positive look on breakfast. Which I could honestly say, a whetherspoons breakfast would've been better quality, and cheaper. Also, word of warning, in the small print somewhere it probably says they'll take an extra £50 on top of your booking payment before you're allowed to check-in (this is refundable without hastle when you leave), however, without reading the fine print, this could come as an unwelcome suprise, especially if you're trying to tightly budget. I went to a Belfry before in Nottingham and loved it. So it was a shame to be so disapointed by this one. Mind you, it was during autumn, and the room was likely cooler, and I could sleep.

Lovely hotel good for families. Beautiful lake with fish. Food was lovely (didn’t enjoy the chunky chips to dry) Fire alarm went off at 4am the staff were running round like headless chickens….No emergency however, switched off then kept on going off every 10 minutes!!! Not a good nights. Got late checkout for compensation. Other than it was okay.

Prima hotel met goede sportfaciliteiten

Rommet eg budde på var rent men litt gammeldags, knapper som ikke fungerte på lysene, dårlige dører inn til rommet, burde kanskje pusset opp visse plasser. Frokosten var god og enkel. Viss man ikke har bil så er det et lite stykke med bil ned til sentrum, men var ok pris med Uber.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this hotel. The staff at check in and throughout the hotel were very helpful and friendly, we stayed in the deluxe twin double room, it was very spacious and room cleaned every day. We really enjoyed the use of the pool, sauna, and hot tub. The meals at the restaurant were of an exceptionally high standard, consistently well-presented and delicious. We also really enjoyed breakfast. Especially the freshly made buttermilk pancakes. Very happy we booked into your lovely hotel.

Breakfast was awesome Surprised that as a spa hotel there was no complimentary body lotion After a sweltering first night we got a fan which made a great difference It was a shame we didn’t get to use the gym and pool but hotel was ideally placed for the visits we needed to make. Good value, particularly with the included breakfast.
