The hotel has recently been refurbished but still has the ‘old’ side which you can select the room for stay if you are interested in this historic experience. Those rooms will be available for cheaper prices as well. I chose to stay at the ‘newer’ side for my accommodation this time as they are usually more comfortable for a good night sleep. I was correct and the room looks amazing and spacious too! What a wonderful refurbishment with great designs. Staff were also very helpful and friendly with the hospitality service. Their breakfast or dining area seems lovely although I took it outside instead as there’s so much to do and eat outside the hotel as well. I would loved to stay here once again if I come round for a visit once again.

Friendly, helpful staff, immaculate room and comfortable bed. Also very good location to walk into Canterbury. The only small negative was limited tea, coffee, milk and no bottled water in the room but overall I would highly recommend.

Helt ok hotel, rent og ok frokost

We arrived on the hottest weekend of the year and our room had no AC. However, the staff had prepared the room the best they could, a fan, curtain closed etc. and it was fine. We were in the refurbished side and the room was lovely, clean and modern. The breakfast buffet wasn’t great - limited continental and low quality hot items. Staff were friendly and efficint. I would recommend this hotel for its lovely room, parking and close to town.

Stedet ligger 15 minutter fra centrum, men har gratis parkering, hvilket er positivt i engelske byer. Ingen aircondition trækker ned under en meget varm sommerdag.

The staff were lovely, the room e Was so comfortable and the bathroom was bigger than our kitchen. The breakfast in the morning was perfect with a big range to choose from and even the parking was free.

This hotel is under refurbishment which was not highlighted at the time of making the booking The staff were amazing however the passable with no air conditioning. Close to city centre outside areas need some maintenance but it is a welcome space to sit and relax My room was on the 3rd floor and was spacious. Please be aware that rooms are not serviced daily (they say it is because they want to be greener - however no clean towels or replenished tea and coffee what not what I was expecting for the price charged). Parking is a premium as -they is plenty of space included with your booking. In summary this property needs a bit of work for the price they charge per stay

We stayed for 3 nights, we were out and about most of the time so didn’t eat or use the bar but the staff were excellent and very helpful when we asked for things at reception. The renovation didn’t impact us at all and it’s nice to see that they’re bringing the decoration up to date. Our room was clean, modern, spacious and well equipped and the lounge was a blessing. We really enjoyed our stay and won’t hesitate to book here the next time we are in town.

We were warned that the hotel was being refurbished . The main reception was already completed and looked lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On the second morning of our stay they had a coach load of people arrive and were short of staff for breakfast. Consequently quite a lot of the buffet was unavailable but they did apologise and it was hardly their fault if staff were off sick. Overall we had a good time.

Well located property with easy walking distance to main area. Property is under some maintenance, but no noise. Fan, air was not working so room a bit hot.

What a wonderful welcome from Hannah and the team. Brilliant stay and wonderful breakfast. They are currently carrying out a refurbishment (hence 4 rather than 5 stars for the actual hotel). Didn't impact, other than the restaurant being closed but wow from what they've done so far it's going to be stunning! Great location too

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good facilities. 10 min walk to Canterbury centre.

The room was not cleaned during our two night stay, staff was not helpful when we complained about this, not the best service.

The staff was wonderful. Just one person handling reception, bar, and dining. So way understaffed. Very outdated facility. Bathroom sink didn’t barely drain. Felt as the space wasn’t clean.

The hotel was nice. It's a bit old and creaky, but everything worked. The temporary breakfast at £17 was way, way over-priced, though.

Lovely building great reception very stylish. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating genuinely helpful. Room was nice and spacious a really comfortable bed. Breakfast had a good variety and the service was excellent very professional and friendly. Great location 10 mins walk into Canterbury center would stay again

Reception staff were very friendly and informative regarding the local area. However the room was unbearably hot. The heating was on full and could not be turned down which the night manager was aware of prior to our stay. He tried to turn it down with pliers but was unsuccessful so we had no sleep as an alternative room was unavailable. This was a huge disappointment as it was a birthday and anniversary weekend. An alternative room was found the next day. We were given a small refund of 15% which didn’t reflect our spoilt stay.
