Très bon hôtel familial. La chambre était spacieuse, lit très confortable, salle de bain très spacieuse. Le personnel est très professionnel, attentif aux besoins du client et poli. La nourriture du buffet est très bonne, variés et le service est efficace. Le restaurant mexicain est bon mais sans plus. Le restaurant italien, nous avons était un peu plus déçu mais ça reste correct. Pour les sportifs, salle de sport bien équipée. Des show chaque soir au niveau de l’accueil. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. La seule chose que nous avons moins apprécié était l’odeur du savon liquide fournis dans les salles de bain.

Overall great stay for the price point! Bartenders and wait staff got to know you by name. Property was clean. Rooms slightly dated but clean. Food was average. Took three of our kids with us, the interconnecting room was perfect. Resort is on the small side, but this made it convenient to go back and forth to our rooms and have easy ability to have visual on our kids. We took pool float chairs and floated all day. 4 days was plenty.

Our stay at Occidental Costa Cancun was disappointing overall. Check-in service was slow and lacked urgency. We arrived early (11:00 AM) and did not expect our room to be ready, but reception did not seem interested in providing a welcoming experience. We eventually got our room at 3:15 PM. The property is very small and does not feel like a true resort. There is only one small pool and a limited beach next to a canal where ferries and boats constantly pass, creating a noticeable smell of gas and oil. It feels more like a hotel with a pool than a resort, with no additional recreational areas. The buffet food is average, nothing memorable. The à la carte restaurants are better, but reservations are hard to get, limited to two days in advance, and usually fully booked. One positive is the excellent service from waiters and waitresses, who are attentive and helpful. The rooms are outdated, not well maintained, and noisy if facing the pool. Pool umbrellas cannot be opened due to wind risk, which makes little sense. Hotel taxis are overpriced—about double compared to Uber or private transport. Overall, there are much better resorts in Cancun. I would not recommend this hotel.

Buffett kinda sucks. Restaurants are pretty good but portions are tiny. Felt very rushed when I got a reservation at 10 PM and then the staff started closing the restaurant at 10:15 PM. Also, I was only able to get reservations for 10 PM yet I would walk by at all hours of the day and there would be no one in there. It is also a bit egregious that I am at an all inclusive resort yet I only get a certain number of reservations at the restaurants. Overall, staff were friendly but the resort has lots of room for improvement.

Everything was great! Staff was fun and very responsive. Food was really good. Had a good variety at the buffets.

I enjoyed my stay at Occidental Costa Cancún. It was really relaxing and fun. The staff were extremly friendly. However, I would say the food could be improved. It was often stale and cold, especially at the 24H snack bar.
