We had a fantastic stay at The Rival Hotel. This beautifully restored Art Deco hotel, owned by Benny Andersson of ABBA, perfectly blends character with modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A real highlight was the large windows that could actually be opened, letting in plenty of fresh air—a feature that’s surprisingly rare and much appreciated. The location in Södermalm is excellent, within easy walking distance of Slussen and the city’s main transport connections, making it a great base for exploring Stockholm. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—warm, professional and always happy to help. A special shout-out to Michelle, who made us feel especially welcome. We loved your hospitality! The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great selection of fresh, high-quality options. I couldn’t recommend The Rival Hotel more highly and would happily stay here again.I'm

Located in a great walking area. Room decor elegant and interesting. Bathroom amenities perfect. Delicious breakfast options. All staff so genuinely kind. If we get to visit Stockholm again, this is where we’d stay.

Underbart anrikt hotell. Härlig inredning i baren, otroligt mysig. Frukosten var toppen! Gott och lugnt. En stor fördel att det var möjligt att äta frukost sent.

This is a lovely hotel to stay at in Stockholm - opposite a park with fountain, restaurants and shops nearby, helpful staff, great breakfast - everything fabulous!

Fantastic greeting as soon as we walked in - definitely not one of those places where half the reception staff suddenly try to look busy when you arrive! Lovely, lovely hotel in every way and would definitely stay again. Located in a great and peaceful neighbourhood very near metro too

We loved it

We stayed at Rival 3 nights. We traveled for 2 weeks throughout Europe in May June 2026 and this as the best hotel. A great experience. The staff was so helpful and spent time with us to help us have a great Stockholm experience. The room was spacious and well designed. Everything was new. They had different types of pillows to make sure you had a great sleep. Very quiet hotel. Breakfast was perfect. Order what you want or the buffet. Baked fresh. On the last night we had to leave at 4am and we would miss breakfast, BUT they created a special take away bag of breakfast items just for us. Perfect stay. Easy access to walks and the city.
