Location, the room and view. The gentleman who cleaned the room was lovely and very considerate. Disappointed with the waiting staff regarding time taken to be seated and served. Felt very judged by some.

Just returned from a three night stay at The Duke Hotel and loved it. The staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly. The hotel is short walk from the town centre and bus terminal which made getting about easy. The room was clean, comfortable and well laid out with plenty of storage. the bed was comfortable, and made up every day by housekeeping. Aircon was welcome in the heat! We used the heated pool at the Hotel which was lovely. Towels and robes are provided to make things easier. The bar area and terrace was lovely with reasonable prices. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as we like to go out but the menu looked good. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Excellent hotel in a great location, albeit up hill from the harbour. Clean and well appointed room and amenities. The fabulous restaurant had an extensive menu that catered for all tastes, with freshly cooked food, generous potions, quite simply delicious. However, it was the staff that really made this a wonderful hotel to stay in, friendly and helpful, they made you feel welcomed and very much at home.

Nice enough. Some staff really great and some not much. Not keen on system for the swimming pool - have to ask for a key each time and sign a waiver! Stopped me using it. Restaurant is good. Good breakfast and dinner is good and decent prices compared to the town. Loved the open park in front of the hotel for walks, running and exercises.

Friendly and helpful staff - complimenrary drink on arrival as oyr room wasnt ready. Batteries refreshed in room heating/cooling fan remote handset when requested. Delicious breakfast but we found dining in the conservatory quite cramped and invasive. Our room was a quirky shape, the TV was tiny. Bathroom was ckean and modern except for the ill fitting shower head and very narrow bath. Lovely outside patio area.

Massively over priced for a very small and basic room. Staff and breakfast very good though. Would look elsewhere next time unless the room cost reduced significantly.

An excellent hotel with first class staff. Rather let down by the necessity to queue to go into the restaurant at breakfast and evening meal times.

The staff are lovely but our room was tiny. I would think twice about booking again. Breakfast was nice though. Location is okay.

Great hotel. Very quiet and clean room with lots of natural light and nice view over the Park. I much prefer it to the OG for a quiet nights sleep - had an awful 2 nights sleep at OG earlier in the year . Staff very warm and friendly, though I would say it felt they were short a staff member or 2 in the bar at the evening and at breakfast time. However, the staff coped very well given how busy they were. We will return.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The hotel was beautiful and our room was lovely. Every member of staff were super friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again for Guernsey. The only downside was lack of car parking. Sic spaces which are first come first serve basis but we luckily didn't have any trouble.

Very polite and helpful staff. Lovely food both for breakfast and dinner. Clean room. Comfortable beds with good quality linen.

The Duke is kept spotless, our room was immaculate! The staff were attentive and helpful. The menus offer a good selection with vegetarian food and non-alcoholic drink options too. The patio was a nice spot for a drink!
